Am beginning to smell a rat here. :)

After trawling through 4500 results, the only 5-0 win on 2nd April I can find was against West Ham in 1985, but we've beaten them three times at the Vic since then.

But at least I now know that this coming Saturday is the tenth anniversary of our last game against them up the M1...

oh.... have to give it t you.... my source says:
    • West Ham United were beaten 5-0 in a top-flight game at Vicarage Road, but have not lost on any of the subsequent eleven league visits.

Well, two of the other defeats we inflicted were cup games...

Ok - research and dictionary time. Where might you find a meadow stream annoying?

Well, if you build your house in a meadow...

But not the answer I was looking for.

Shrewsbury FC. Gay Meadow has a river running next to it that takes stray footballs away downstream. If it weren't for Fred in his coracle.

    No.
It's a bit cryptic - something to do with rivers.

You were on the right course with the river - only this involves two of them.
A thesaurus may come in handy...

Is it something to do with the River Lea?
In NZ we have Meadowlea margarine - which could be Lealea or Meadowmeadow margarine. There is also the Avon River in Christchurch which means River River (or Avon Avon if you are a Celt)

No - but it's certainly to do with rivers, two of them. A thesaurus may help with the 'annoy' bit...

We had MeadowLea in Oz too, but being a traditionalist (& anti-French) I preferred butter. :)
