Although the 24-year-old Blackwood was born in London and was on the books of Northampton, he gave up on football in England.

Instead, he has had one of the stranger journeys of a footballer having taken up a footballing scholarship in the United States where he featured for the Tampa Bay Spartans and South Florida Bulls, similar to British-born MLS star Dom Dwyer

His performances in the United States were picked up by Queens Park Rangers and he moved to the West London club in the summer of 2015.

However having only feature for Queens Park Rangers once and made three loan appearances at Newport County, he has left the club, having failed to replicate his form and performances in England that he did in the United States and subsequently has returned to America to join Arizona United.

I saw him play ....once.
