What a load of hassle!

Get yourselves an android.
I have had android devices and they are just not as good. Even the dodgy TV box, android (and now functioning ok) is useless compared to downloading Kodi onto a Mac. Plus thousands more apps for iOS than android. Apple are arrogant, cultish and expensive and deserve a kicking, but their stuff is the best.

Having updated IOS on both my iPhone and iPad I'm now finding that I cannot clear the Inbox in Calendar. If I go into Calendar and touch Inbox in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, I just get dumped out of the App altogether and back onto the main screen.
I had never even noticed that function before. App working, but how do you delete invitations? Can't see an edit button and swiping just opens up the invitation.....

I posted that just for you!

I use my phone for phone calls, texts, email, music and internet.
My Samsung android works perfectly for me and has for years.
I have hundreds of apps that I don't even understand let alone use.

My kids tell me it's perfect for me, but their i phones are much better for all their social media needs etc.
i tunes is probably something I would benefit from though.

I have dumped iTunes entirely and switched to Spotify, which is great, about a tenner a month (for the whole family) got everything I've ever searched for and you can listen offline. Heard a snippet of Led Zep's Ten Years Gone on a TV programme the other night, was listening (loud) to the whole thing, which I hadn't heard for years seconds later. Lovely song.

I'm probably the same as you regarding the phone Col, in fact it's texting, work emails, calls, coming on here when I don't have the iPad handy and the BBC sports app that are about all I use. Because it's a company iPhone with loads of security built into it I can't even link it fully to my personal apple stuff. I used to have a company iPad but as I literally never used it for work I gave it back and bought myself a better version with huge storage for music and films, half of which I haven't used.

Listening to Radio 4? Great 'Reunion' programme on the first generation of nuclear powered submariners on now, fantastic men talking about the fifties, right up your street mate.

Yeah they were brave men.

I've used Spotify for many years now. Excellent isn't it?

Usually, when I get a meeting invitation through my work Outlook account (which is integrated with Calendar on both my iPhone and iPad), accepting it via Outlook on my laptop, or through selecting the Inbox on Calendar and selecting Accept on the next screen that opens, will remove the count of unresolved items against the App icon on my iPhone/iPad desktop. This is now not happening for some reason and, as I've said, touching the Inbox option at the bottom-right of Calendar is now just dumping me out of Calendar. Frustrating.

Ok, I'm on the same system re Outlook, but the upgraded iPad isn't linked to it and I don't tend to get many.invitations on that. No problems on the phone but that hasn't been upgraded. Have a look on the apple support communities to see if it's a common problem or just you. In the past problems with my iPhone have usually been linked to all of the company certification installed on it via MobileIron app (sounds like a West Ham supporting traveller. Or a gay gypsy). Recertification usually sorts that out.

Yeah, good advice, thanks. I've been on a forum, seen about three different ways of doing it and fluked something in between them all (if that's possible). I've actually got 4 different work calendars (don't ask!) and ended up disabling each exchange account, then manually accepting each outstanding invitation via the greyed-out event in the calendar itself, restarting the phone and then reactivating all four calendars via exchange.

Next week, rudimentary rocket science.

Good grief.

Whatever happened to a pen and a diary?
