Know there's a few golf fans on here so interesting tiger woods announced today he won't compete in next week's masters as he isn't playing competitive golf. Strange as he hasn't been playing competitive golf for about 8 years? Really like Day 7-1, Johnson 20-1 and Reed 33-1 for the masters.
I see Kalahari has changed hands from Lucy to Henry Spiller, what's the deal there? Interesting that Paddy Mullins is booked to ride that one in the amateur riders race at Doncaster tomorrow evening.
African Gold 16/1 With the twister having his string in such good order , it may be the time to give this inmate a chance to get back on track -back hurdling its worth a gamble at that price that a rekindling of talent may occur --if so he will win this -I could be way off the mark but the time to catch these derailed types is when the stable are having a purple patch .
Owner turned up a few weeks ago with a horsebox and took the horse away, no debate or discussion from what I understand. He probably wasnt very happy with the ride it got the last day but it was a pretty harsh and drastic course of action.
Cracking veterans race at Ascot today and the one I like is CREEVYTENANT at 10/1. He is 2 from 2 at the track and races from just 3lb higher than last years winning mark in a race where nothing looks particularly well treated. He goes really for Conor Shoemark and I can see him making all again this year. The ground at Sandown the last day was much too deep for him but conditions today should be perfect. Slight concern that he might get taken on at the front by Pete The Feat so lets hope they dont cut each others throats.
In the first at Ascot MAIGH DARA at 100/1 stands out as an eway bet for me in not the strongest of races.
3:15 Curragh - Bubbly Bellini 13/2 big fan of this horse but it is an all or nothing type, it'll either go close or come last
Very harsh by the sound of it. If it happened 2 or 3 times then you might understand his discontent. Dai would want to take a chill pill...
Just 4 weeks til my Ultra! whoop whoop! So stopped in at bookies after my run in the rain (karma for me liking Nass's post about the weather down south at the bank holiday) Lazy betting choices: Ascot 200 Whats the scoop 235 Adrien Dupont 345 Portway Flyer Donc 150 Muntadab 405 Windshear 440 Juste Pour Nous 3 singles doubles and a treble at each BTTS&WIN Aberdeen, Leicester & Everton 3 singles doubles and a treble. Oh and the rains off!!!
Curragh 3.15-Master Speaker win 7/2-Found trouble in running last week but with Master Moore on board should go very close. 5.00-Vintage Charm win 11/2.Won over same distance back in October and only up a couple of pounds so racing off a very lenient mark. Mr Kit should really be winning 3.15 at Carlisle 11/8 Looks like alot of the favourites should oblige on the Limerick card so will do a wee accumlator Gazboy what is this Ultra you refer to old boy?!
Couple of doubles to keep my interest today. What's the scoop 11/8 and Adrien du pont 2/1 double at Ascot. Ryan Moore double at the Curraugh Dick Wittingham 7/2 and Found 5/6. Last night's prices most have shortened since. Also a Leicester/Everton double in the football.
Good man yourself Gaz!I've always wanted to run a marathon but find it hard to run for more than five mins without needing a break!I've no problem playing a footy match for 90 mins but long distance running doesnt agree with me
I started trying running about 8 years ago and built up from 5k @ Parkrun (see if theres one nearby) to 10k-half with the plan to do a marathon before I turned 40! My training in March totalled 210 miles! Im 45 on old firm day! If you need motivation google Medoc Marathon and aim for that!
