I know I haven't posted on here in a while but being the small gollum-like creature that I am, I have been lurking around the past couple of weeks and honestly, I'm staggered by the positivity by most people on here.

We're now less than a month away from the start of the season and although we hear that the toon still have several 'big targets' in mind, a whiff of desperation is beginning to linger. Firstly, there's Endric. I'm annoyed by people who still state 'oh he'd be a good buy if we can get him'. What? the guy would rather be 4th or 5th choice in a worse league than challenge himself as first choice in the biggest league in the world. This is not a player, I want wearing a toon shirt. Secondly, although Defoe is a decent player, we'd pay over the odds for a older and by old accounts, arrogant, prem mercenary.

I know there is still a month left and most of the action will pick up soon but realistically, who could be on the toon radar that you'd be happy with? how long before we're panic buying and throwing in bid we know we'll never get just to appease the fans and so the higher ups can say 'ahh well we tried guys?'I'm not teying to put a downer on everything but games are won with goals and to me, our scoring options are severely limited.
 
Burn the witch (Ashley) perhaps he actually weighs less than a chicken! If he does we can kill him legally

I don't know, which is what upsets me. Like I said, if we buy someone like Erdinc, who has stated he'd rather stay (and rot) at PSG than come to us, it's a pretty poor state of affairs. Hopefully, Ashley has had a mild brain hemorrhage and it's the toon who bid 80mil for Hulk.

He's allowed to have his say about what he thinks, i suggest if you don't like his opinion and only have something pathetic to say, then don't bother commenting. <ok>

We should wait and see how the team is when the transfer window shuts.

Mike Ashley - he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

As you've already stated there aren't that many options in our price bracket, it's not a case of having to make do with the likes of Erdinc, we're having to find the best we can for the money that's available. Not having a pop at anyone but if those people saying we should go out and spend shed loads on cash on a striker are deluded. That money is not available, if you want those sort of signings then you're probably better off buggering off and supporting Man City (again this isn't aimed at the OP or anyone in particular)
