So when you said you were buying the site from a Receiver what you meant was you were buying it from a bank but actually what you meant was you were buying it from the owner. Well that's clear and plausible.

Why are you so interested in this? What the hell does it matter how or why I'm doing anything?

I've brought the deal to the table. It's a no-brainer. Without me, he wouldn't have got his hands on it. Either he cut me in, or I would have found someone else to do it with me. That's business, Stan. I thought you would have understood that.
Gotcha, so when you said that he gave you the choice to invest your fees in the project and your contacts put you in a good position (see below), what you meant was you found the project and gave him the choice to do it with you. Why didn't you say that in the first place? Contradictory.

Very true, Tobes.

Mind you, it's far more difficult to raise finance, these days, unless you can show the bank that you have a track record. Money is getting easier to raise, but the banks are placing a lot of emphasis on deliverability. I have acted for several national house builders, so I know my way around the block. In fact, the reason why I got involved with my builder partner is because he gave me the choice of being instructed by him, or investing my fees in a project (to wet my feet). The fact that I have several good finance contacts also put me in a good position. So, all I am risking are the fees that I would have charged, but the rewards are ten-fold. My builder partner is a very experienced builder, having built many scores of houses in the locality that we are now building in; he knows the area and the particular market very well, and he is a superb craftsman. He has won awards for his past work.

For me, it really is a no-brainer.

He said in post [HASHTAG]#758[/HASHTAG] that he was dealing with the receiver, By the time we get to post [HASHTAG]#857[/HASHTAG] he'll be dealing with the Baron who owned the land at the time of the Magna Carta.

Yeah, woe is me for not getting my story about my business affairs straight, on a football forum, talking to a bunch of complete muppets!

I will never live this down, whilst I'm sunning myself by the pool of my villa, drinking cocktails. Oh, well. That's how the cookie crumbles, I suppose.

By the way, brilliant work in mugging another "like" out of Pixie. You really do have him on a piece of string. Just like I do.

I'm just trying to keep up with the plotline. I think it has continuity issues.

You seem to be working under the false impression that you are in on this deal, Stan. Why the fcuk should I tell you anything?

You've been prattling on about it for the last 4 pages, now that your bullshit has been exposed, you're getting all defensive <laugh>

To be fair you've already told me a lot. Most of it doesn't stack up and you've got flustered and in a muddle when pressed on the detail but it's been entertaining.

Why is that so important to you, Stan? If I knew I was going to have to prepare a sworn statement, I would have been more careful with the facts. Silly me, though, I thought I was doing nothing more than passing idle chat on a football forum. Most of the muppets on this site don't know the difference between an LPA Receiver from an Administration, from a sale by a mortgagee in possession! What the fcuk does it matter what order I spoke to whom in?

That's a very disingenuous comment about the not606 posters.

Post of the thread!

Oh, dear! That is extremely desperate wum-milling, Stan, even by your desperate standards.

I actually think that my post calling you an estate agent was far better.
