What has been the best or your favourite tv series? Go back as faras you want. Also which do you think are utter gash or just cant watch? A few top contenders for me in the good catergory. Game of Thrones. Sons of Anarchy (early series) Vikings....aint seen that many but enjoyed those i have. Sopranos was a bit hit, but again aint seen to many. Walking dead? Tried to get into Haven, but failed. Band of brothers..good. really good.
Best: Game of Thrones, honourable mentions to Walking Dead & Suits which I'm currently watching. Most Overrated: Breaking Bad, just didn't quite get the hype. Don't really have a worst.
A political drama (1999 - 2006) set in the White House. Starred Martin Sheen and Rob Lowe and later on, Jimmy Smits. How you hope politics in America could work when at its best but how it can fail when at its worst. Brilliantly written! Honourable Mentions for Hill Street Blues and Only Fools And Horses!
Ok. Never heard of it. Hill street blues. Bloody hell i can vaguely remember that. No idea if i liked it or not. Only fools and horses. Excellent. I often have a beer with the lad who played Mickey Pierce
The Soprano's is the best TV series of all time for me. Showed that TV can be as high quality as film. True Detective season 1 was incredible and up there while True Detective season 2 was diabolical and down at the bottom. Think Game of Thrones is dire.
You must be too young to remember Crossroads mate! Once seen, forever scarred! Another contender for worst tv show - the quiz show 3-2-1!!!
Dusty bin Bullseye. Look at watcha couldav won. A ****ing speedboat. Canny handy in your 4th floor flat in Wakefield.
Game of Thrones and the Blacklist are my 2 favourites. Only just started Breaking Bad and like what I've seen so far! Worst - there are too many to pick from!
I was too busy back in the day, getting ruined on a daily basis to watch the Sopranos as and when it was on, tried watching it from the beginning a couple of months ago but it was just incredibly boring to begin with so my Mrs declared herself out and that's the end of any box set in my house. My favourite box set, if I'm allowed any genre, is The Office (not the ****ty US version) and I also really liked Lost, Prison Break and Band of Brothers. The worst by far is that absolute joke of a series Homeland.
Favourite The Lakes with John Simms and A Time to Dance with Ronald Pickup and Dervla Kirwan. Worst having a think?
It's a relatively new series probably started around 2012 or so. About a genius lad that basically ends up working as a lawyer without any qualifications. Easy watching.
Breaking Bad, loved it. Not too keen on the prequel, Better Call Saul. I like watching Louis Theroux, easy viewing. Louis never fails to ask that one question that no one else would. Heroes was ok. The son watches The Walking Dead, he swears by it. The lead character is played by a british actor, Andrew Lincoln, who was in a series about twenty years ago about a group of young solicitors all living in the same house called This Life. That was good.
Agreed on True Detective, I've never seen such a difference in quality between two seasons of the same show. I stuck it out and it got slightly better right at the end but it was a crap season. Game of Thrones is great though.
