I have actually tried it in the Reindeer and also had it in a pub in Essex too, nice pint It was 6 pints of Ghost ship for me last night, yummy! Bah!
Jaipur is scrummy - but also very moreish and creeps up on one I had it the first time at source in Bakewell (where the brewery is now) but have seen it on occasion in JDW pubs in Norwich. Talking of which, I had an hour to kill between buses yesterday in Fakenham, so Wetherspoons it was. Beer festival in full flow, all at £2.05 a pint, and £1.03 a half I had a pint of the Thunder Road Pacific, 2nd on the list (not unlike Lacons Legacy, Woodfordes Sundew, etc) and a half of Fred de Bruijne at 5.5%, fourth on this list. Both fantastic. https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/real-ale-festival/international-brewers
Yes ILD, but do the maths. If I go out to get merry - 3 pints of Jaipur @ £4.20 = £12.60 or pints of say Ghost Ship @ £3.40 = £13.60!!! Actually, I'd rather 3 pints of a less strong ale and finish with a pint of Jaipur>>
Sounds like a bargain - ordered 3 pale ales in the old red cow near the Barbican - got 50p back from a 20 quid note
The last pub I went into - beer was £10.20 a pint - Norway beautiful country but fecking expensive beer
A lot of these 'new wave' "craft" beers sell for £5, 6, 7 and more per pint. I've never really seen the fascination - the few I've tried have been like alcoholic nectarine / mango juice. Why would I pay £6 and upwards to drink bloody mango juice?
Make no mistake, the State doesn't really give a stuff about the health of the nation it's just another way to fleece us all. Also will diet Coke really be cheaper than the 'full fat' version? I think not. The extra revenue raised will probably go towards benefits for the great unwashed. #lightsbluetouchpaper .............................. please log in to view this image
Absolute poppycock! My local Conservative MP regulaly gives me a good excercise session in my sex dungeon where I masquarade as the lovely lady Melchina, where he regularly chants "David Cameron loves us all, David Cameron loves us all, Punish me Melchy, David Cameron lovesss uuusssss aaaalllllllll! He particulaly enjoys a good slideshow of war veterans on the street with their hand out or the elderly on gurneys in a hospital corridor as I paddle his behind with a well linseeded cricket bat! Edit: Sorry JWM, Welly or any other interested parties (I'm thinking SN23 in particular) Melchina is very particular about her client base, so please stop asking for similar treatment, SN23 I can't unread all those things! You very naughty boy! Bah!
