Yeah, a useful HG squad member costs a lot more than £500k.
A bad decision I reckon....if it was our decision, for all I know maybe it was Jazz who wanted away to prove himself.

Best scenario for us is if he had accepted being our utility defender (For me a well balanced squad has 2 players for every position + 3 utility men, 1 a defender, 1 a midfielder, 1 an attacker) and got his first team football by being loaned out....with a recall clause stuck in there for us.
Who knows if this is something he would have considered or even if it was possible but all I know is that we are starting to look thin on HG players and transferring them in tends to cost big bucks.
The club must have thought when Tabanou came in Jazz became expendable ..........lol

End of season is fast approaching, Rodgers is tipped to return to manage the swans next season. what's your thaughts on the ins and outs, who and what do we need. Discuss..........

I will probably join in at some stage but let's not forget that players are human beings and remember the good servants to us some have been.

A new RB, a very experienced LB (with Kingsley taking over in 2-3 years), Joe is a must, a new striker, another winger and a replacement for Ki (think he'll leave this summer) and Jonjo (if we don't sign Fer).

I don't think we need major surgery, we have a good squad, but we need 4-5 signings of real quality.

If I was Brendan, I'd go all out to sign Joe and Bony (whose career is dead at City). I'd fancy our chances of getting these players.

Valley, I think we need quite a bit of change, I agree a RB and a LB, don't forget Kingsley isn't that young in regards playing Ben was a lot younger, give him game time and he may well be the answer next season. I think we need a new Centre Half. A big physical one, Ash isn't getting any younger and will start to get a few injuries soon, we have been lucky so far and I don't see Fed and Amat together strong enough for a long spell. I quitelike Fer but not 100% convinced about his work ethic. So maybe another quality central midfield player, If the new manager cant get Monty going we may well need a winger and as far as I am concerned we need 2 new strikers. Gomis can go and to be honest Paloschi has looked no better than him, not big enough or strong enough. Maybe though under a new manager and style maybe he could improve.

How old is he? I thought he was about 19ish?

The first thing to do is to look at our academy players who are 21 and over to decide who's not going to make it and give them free transfers so perhaps they can have a career at lower levels. After that we need to offload Gomis, Eder, Tabanou, Emnes and possibly Ki and Montero. Ayew may also go. Time is catching up on Leon,Rangel and Routledge. and at their age your legs go without you realising. So we should be looking at immediate replacements for them. Ash has a couple of seasons left yet and has always relied on reading the game more than pace but I would still like to see us recruit a tall powerful centre back. We need another winger, a pacy attacking midfielder perhaps Adam King from the academy. a right back although I don't think Naughton is as bad as some are suggesting and a big, powerful, striker who can stay on his feet. Paloschi is not that type of player and it would be interesting to see him play off one as I think he is more of a poacher. On the subject of his physique how does he compare with Jermaine Defoe. I think Fer has added something to our midfield but it will all be down to our new manager and I hope that Jenkins only gets involved in the business side and not choice of new players

We do need a massive rebuild. Look what's happened to Man U by leaving it too long I would rather use some of the Academy than sign players such as Eder, Gomis and Tabanou.at least they would show some spirit.

As far as I'm concerned we will have the biggest and most important rebuild ever .
I truly believe we have the perfect manager in place to do that , he has proven his ability in such scenarios already elsewhere .
Guido is already going through working out the kinks and will have a plan ready come summer with transfers and tactics
To bring in a manager in the summer , our 4th in a spread of 25 games , starting from scratch could be a total disaster IMO . No matter who that manager is , given the timeframe and circumstance , chances are pretty good he will fail and be gone by Christmas and relegation will be all but assured .
We're at a fork in the road and am worried about the road most are leaning .
Guido is building a foundation that a summer replacement will have little time to do , especially with what is more apt to be more movement in the squad than the norm

Rodgers wouldn't have to build a foundation, he'd just have to dig it out so to speak. Rodgers will have transformed us within a few weeks as his formations/style will already be known the the players.

Roof, it is probably best he doesn't waste his time because as of May he will be back in Italy and have nothing to do with our rebuilding, Just my opinion of course.

Valley, have you watched Joe Allen this season? I may be wrong however I think he has started in 3 Prem League games and has been average to say the least. I watched him also in Europa matches and he was, at best, woeful (even as a sub v Exeter in the Cup). If he is the best we aspire to, we will be relegated. Forget the past and what worries if Rodgers comes back he will try and bring half the crap signings he made for Liverpool with him.
