Newcastle have returned some more tickets for the match. After returning a block earlier, they have now apparently returned a further 500. Looks like their fans have had enough.
...and I would've got away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids... In all seriousness? Best three moments/matches of the season and worst three moments/matches of the season. Go...
For me the best 3 matches were 1) at Chelsea, 2) home against Arsenal, 3) home to Liverpool. Low points I have a gift for forgetting. I think being beaten 7-0 by Leeds back in the 1970s developed a filter in me. And Saints have been so bloody mediocre for much of their existence that I find little point in remembering the bad.
Amazing that beating Utd at Old Trafford doesn't make the top 3, but I have to agree with your selection. At last the lyrics, "Who the **** are Man Utd?" carry an element of truth.
Best four games ......1,Chelsea (a) 2, Man U (a) 3, Liverpool (h) 4,Arsenal (h) Best moments........ Big Fraz coming back from injury. Cucos goal against Arsenal. Shane proving 12m wasn't too much. Buying Charlie for a bargain 4m. Low moments....... Crap refs. Jay picking up another injury. Vic seeing reds. League cup defeat to Livepool. Losing to Norwich away....how? Unhealthy habit for a time that our rivals only shots on target seemed to go in
Best moments would include the Liverpool comeback, the two promotion winning games and as the best game I think the Arsenal 2-2 was probably the best football from both sides, a really cracking game. The worst moments would have to include seeing the net ripple in the last minutes of the 2005 Everton tie, turning the game into a 2-2 draw was a gut-wrencher and the subsequent relegation hurt much more than the drop L1 for some reason.
I think my run of clean sheets in the "Really Positive" thread series was my highlight. I have enjoyed Fran's run, but nothing more satisfying than winning to nil
http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/03/pre...sit-newcastle-united-southampton-v-newcastle/ A blog explaining why Newcastle aren't taking up our tickets....apart from the obvious. Apparently Newcastle fans who live near to SMS and would probably have taken up the away tickets have been discouraged by a £35 membership fee that has to be paid to get an away ticket.
I didn't realise tickets had nearly sold out and only got mine last week. The only place I could get 3 together was Block 43, which presumably was the first away block to be returned. Now Block 44 is available as well.
