Strongly recommend that you do not update the software to 9.3 at the moment. Several glitches most irritating of which is safari not working at all well. Sure they will fix this soon.

Links aren't working on my iPad (Air2, not an old one which have had real problems), click on a thread to have a look and it simply highlights it. Similarly will search in safari home page, but you can't get to the sites the search brings up. Had a laborious work round but in a 'doh' moment just used another browser, which works fine. It's very odd, but they usually sort these things fast.
I decided to update my previous phone with disastrous results, I lost everything on it including two years of pictures that I hadn't backed up.
Yes, silly me I know for not having backed it up but I had no idea that because I didn't have enough capacity remaining on my phone that the whole shebang would go down like the titanic.
I just ignore those annoying reminders that update x y or z is just waiting breathlessly for me to activate...

I'm getting increasingly pissed off with it, having to change a load of habits which doesn't come easy.
You can get rid of those reminders by deleting IOS update Apple downloads to your device without your permission or knowledge !
How do you do that?
On second thoughts, don't tell me because there's bound to be some un intended consequence which either costs me money or chips away at my freedom

Every sodding iOS update is a pain in the arse one way or another. I have a 4S which I love and refuse to upgrade to a 5 or 6. Apple are using updates as a way of making older versions obsolete, the bastards.

Lot of people getting mighty pissed off with Apple. They seem to think they still own the stuff and the data on it after you have bought it. Still the prettiest and cleverest kit though.
Apple's recent refusal to unlock data on a deceased terrorist's phone recently in the US seemed extraordinary to me. I don't know whether other US phone companies would take a similar view that protection of customer's private information, even if they are Al Qaeda or Cosa Nostra, comes before the public interest in revealing information useful to security services in the protection of citizens. Lawmakers need to intervene here imo
As to the kit, after suffering 2 Blackberries that never worked well (for reasons best known to itself, the Bold regularly lost all power overnight),I bought a 5s and have been mightily impressed with the intuitive usability of it. I had some small teething issues and the Apple support was second to none, so I'll give credit where it's due. But I still feel Apple is like some religious cult. As seen by the punishment metered out to those that don't have their phone serviced by Apple - if you wander from the cult, there will be repercussions...
My wife's 6S is getting that too, mine is fine. Peculiar! Now my son is panicking, his 6 recently has a new screen from a non apple repair shop, just told him to back everything up, just in case.
It seems completely random who gets issues. The Apple support message boards are going nuts. I find using the Opera browser app is fine, but you still have to press the links and select 'open new tab' rather than getting straight through to them. Apple say they 'are aware' and working on a fix as top priority. 9.3.1 needed pretty soon for their reputation, you can't sell premium price stuff with no OS. Samsung/ Google must be having fun.
Apple have relented on this and any disabled units should now update back to working condition but without any fingerprint abilities. Stan you didn't recently unlock that iPhone 6 for our American friends did you? May explain why you've been picked on...
I wonder if the FBI actually let John Mcafee do it as he claimed he could, it must have been a frosty morning at Apple HQ when the Feds proudly announced "F**K you Apple" and then cancelled the lawsuit against them, it just makes Apple look utterly ridiculous and unpatriotic and cavalier in attitude.
From Most Wanted to Darling of the FBI, Mcafee will have done well out of it, if it was him.
My iPad is at its most useful when used as a paper weight. Does a great job. Your data's security is more important than yours. One hell of a Philosophy Apple.
