I completely forgot about the Mickey Mouse meetings on Good Friday. More prize money than a day at Cheltenham going to some mediocre donkeys. Ha!

Those that advocate video technology in all sports should witness the first couple of minutes of the Super League’s Hull derby.

The visiting Airlie Birds picked up the ball, dropped in a tackle by the Rovers player and scored a try. The referee went to the video replay official but his on-field decision was a try.

Stevie Wonder in the replay booth then decided that it was not a try but a steal. This the latest in a long catalogue of wrong calls by officials who get to see the action from ten angles in slow motion and do not know what they see in front of them.

Old boy Simon Crisford with another winner at Wolverhampton. He is posting some impressive stats this season <ok>

The Cheltenham honeymoon is officially over for me, had an awful day, bloody bank holiday (would've been better @ work). Had 3 2nds and the race i dont touch my picks were 1st and 3rd e/w. 1 more go

Lingfield 4:15
Gracious John win
Aguerooo e/w

A horse I really like runs in the 4:00 at Wolverhampton. It probably shouldn't be winning today but I can't resist a small ew at the price:

Silvanus 33/1 ew

When you are watching the Super League highlights for the Video Ref howler (by referee James Childs) in the Hull derby (the west of Hull eventually won 22-20), have a look at the St Helens v Wigan game.

Second half, about five minutes in, St Helens’ man drops the ball in a tackle and Wigan pick the ball up and run it in for a try. The on-field decision is try but the Video Ref says no try. Groundhog Day but only if a Day is defined as three hours!

I had two-thirds of a bottle of red wine at a Chinese restaurant last night and a couple of pints of beer (and counting) today and I can see better than these idiots.

At big prices, I'll be playing individual e/w bets on YEAH BABY YEAH 66/1 (4.45), as Gay Kelleway tends to target these AW champ meetings, and this one ran well in some good maidens before winning nicely in France last time in 1st time blinkers. This one tries cheekpieces back in England today and I think might outrun those big odds.

Hard lines. Eye catching run given how wrong this one was at the weights.

A good afternoons racing from Lingers which I think that the majority of winners will be those at the head of the market. They've seemed to have ran against each other of late so form shouldn't be reversed in many races. However I'm no expert but my fancies will be:

1.40 VOLUNTEER POINT
2.10 REALIZE
2.40 ANGLOPHILE
3.15 MINDUROWNBUSINESS
3.45 GRENDISAR NAP NAP NAP
4.15 WOLOWITZ
4.45 HAALICK

Over at Wolves GANG WARFARE takes me eye too.

4 winners and a couple of near misses. Only disappointment really was the ride on Haalick.
