Why do you say he's not a reliable source? RE the second point, they actually said he was invited to train the first team. I found it strange at the time and looking at the news wires at work was never able to find any credence to it. Now, looking down the initial stories from when he was hired originally, it's something that has been removed. Was it ever true? I'm leaning towards JM's versions of events/
I hadn't realised it was to train the first team. In as far as everything Mourinho says has some kind of motive, normally. Although if Riga reputedly trained the first team then that's a pretty clear cut response from Mourinho. Did anyone ever find a decent summary of what Riga's strange technical football method thing was or is?
At the time I remember looking in to the credence of AC Milan, and there was enough to back that claim. Though, in Italy they do it differently with yoof and don't necessarily have one ''head coach''. It's why during the late 00's we saw an influx of teams like Spurs and Liverpool being able to hire from them and seemingly in pivotal positions (I might not have explained it clearly, but Baresi going to Fulham is an EG should you want to have a read up). The original story in regards to Riga was he was highly rated and Jose invited him over to almost run the rule. Why any coach would give such valuable time to an unknown was strange at the time, his denial made it laughable.
To be fair Sue Parkes thinks Chris Parkes is a legend so her judgement is somewhat questionable now if she thought Chris was a bellend I could understand it.
Guy "I am still unemployed 6 months later" Luzon reveals in the SLP that he had little say in signing players at Charlton. On page 2 of the paper they reveal that planet Earth is not flat.
KM and RD will be doing backflips about this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-s-16-year-old-courted-Manchester-United.html
Only backflips should be done if we ever received a huge fee for one of our products. Hasn't happened yet.
