"Liverpool duo Joao Carlos Teixeira and Tiago Ilori are hoping to take part in the Olympic Games in Brazil later this year.
The pair didn’t travel to Tenerife for the Reds’ warm weather training camp this week because they were invited to link up with the Portugal Under-23s squad.
Both Teixeira and Ilori are keen to represent their nation at the Olympics – meaning they would miss the start of the 2016/17 campaign.
The 16-team Olympic football tournament is scheduled to take place between August 4 and August 20.
It’s an under-23s competition with each team allowed a maximum of three overage players. Teixeira and Ilori are each classed as under-23 having only turned 23 since the start of 2016."

If (and it's a big If) we get Sule and Tah, then that will pave the way for another exit IMO.

dubt we'd get both.. not impossible as houllier bought two when we expected one but we will see.
Sule plays for Hoffenheim and I think he has a small release clause if they are relegated. Even then, I don't think they'll command too much money.
Tah will cost quite a bit though. But both are worth is - we could build our defence around them for years.
both young, boht making a big step up.. Just taking both would sound like a risk.
Klopp did something similar at Dortmund - albeit Subotic and Hummels were in their early 20's. Don't think he's afraid to throw youngsters in.
