Poor Tottenham. Any other season, and they'd be the neutral's pick to win the league and break the monopoly that United, City and Chavski have had on it - just like we were the neutral's pick two seasons ago.

Except Leicester turned up, so no one cares about the spuds <laugh>

I'd pick Spurs over Chelsea Or United but no one else.

I'd even rather City win or Everton, or Arsenal. Spurs fans have become so arrogant and chavvish I'd not want them to win over anyone but Chelsea/United.

Even Chelsea now without Jose would probably be preferable to Spurs.

God no. Leicester are small fry and winning the league doesn't really change anything. Tottenham though have been on par or better than us for a while now, its bad enough they will get champions league, but if they won the league they could really attract some top players, it would be disastrous for us.

I said neutrals, not Liverpool fans. Keep up!

Neutrals, as in, the vast majority of the media, fans of sports or football in general, supporters of teams outside the PL, interested fans from outside England who have little loyalty to a particular team, etc etc. Most of those would have urged Tottenham on if it weren't for Leicester.

Not for me, we had cl football and couldn't attract those players over city manutd chavs at the time, and any honest spurs fan knows we are a more attractive destination than they are, perhaps they've taken that position over us but not city chavs manu, so not for me, they will find the same difficulties, maybe More difficulty in attracting player's over city chavs manu than we did in that position, given their relative size and reputation (do they even have a reputation)

For me long term thinking is required.

If Leicester win this they will be top seeds in cl group but have **** all hope imo of getting out of group

If spurs get the league they've half a chance of getting out of a cl group. Ok they've bottled europa every time they meet anyone even half scary but they could get out of a group where the 3rd and 4th seeds are not scary.

If we also see Utd in there they could be 3rd seeds if unlucky as Leicester will push others down.

Spurs are show ins but will be 3rd seeds.

So..... by end of next season I can see england losing its 4th cl spot.

If Leicester are 2nd they will be 4th seeds in the cl groups so might get europa if we are lucky.

I'm backing spurs for this reason... I don't give a toss about inter club rivalry or spurs fans

Bulshit, they have a much better manager than you did at that time.
What makes you a more attractive destination than spurs over the last few years? Do you really think players choose a team because they won a league before they were born or a CL 11 years ago, we won the league 3 years ago but I wouldn't expect that to influence a players choice of club.

No 95% of decision is made on money.

That is agents influence and most of players wanting max return.

In case anyone missed it spurs and west ham won't attract a top player like city or Utd will or even arsenal cos all 3 will offer higher wages.

Chuck Chelsea in there and you have it spot on <ok>

Poch has as many trophies as Rodgers as far as i know so that's arguable, when we were in spurs position we were the more attractive destination and we still are but i don't expect you to agree, i don't need you to.

Money talks at the moment. Honestly speaking, I think most of the top players chuckle to themselves when signing for our so-called top clubs. They don't give a **** about anything, and are probably laughing at the ridiculous wages the PL offers without really rating the club or the league. Whereas the hidden gems like Mahrez or Payet genuinely see it as a step up and a real challenge to play at a higher level.

Hence why we have the expensive flops. The worst thing Spurs or Leicester could do is try to buy one of these jokers. Instead go for players that will strengthen the squad without disturbing the dynamics of the team.

most of them are just after as much money as poss until they get their move to real or barca.

unless we start producing more home grown talent again it will keep on happening. yeah foreign players are cheaper but they are usually the first to abandon ship when the chips are down, cnunts.

The crushing thing for the Spurs fans is this is their one shot. Other clubs bouncing back and the crippling cost of their new stadium will mean Spurs won't challenge again for a long time.

Exciting match in prospect.

Spurs have to win to have any chance of the title especially if Leicester win their home match. An 8 point gap will be almost too big.

We have to win to have any chance of top 4. Lose and our already slim chances are gone.

Interesting to see what their tactics will be. They normally play a similar style to ours. Same high energy pressing game but they have a better (or more in form) strike force than ours so will they play an open attacking game?

Cannot wait !
