Just got another begging message from the club telling me the window on discounted season tickets has been extended by a couple of weeks. Obviously sales low.

I'd do a deal with them though. I'll buy a full price season ticket if they throw in a season ticket for the train to LR and back.

Good luck with that Stan. The train ST is probably triple the cost of the QPR st?

A bit strong to call it a begging letter as it was simply a reminder about the arrangements. However, there's no doubt that Hoos screwed up by originally closing the 'discounted' (sic: actually more expensive than last year of course) renewal window at the end of March rather than the end of June as in all previously seasons. Even now you can only enjoy the benefit we always had in the past by putting down a deposit and going through the rigmoral of calling the box office. I have no problem with them releasing the tickets early but it is surely madness to make it more difficult and costly for your most loyal supporters to renew in the middle of a season that has been so disappointing.

I renewed my season tickets a couple of weeks ago. They're the same price as for this season if you renew now aren't they? It was £534 for an old git and an under-18 ticket in SA road gold, anyway. Not bad if you ask me.

£534 for the both? That is a good deal.

Ive renewed in the seat next to the "sb73 memorial seat"....

But there again it was cheap as chips due to my advancing age and early bird rates

I think it is great value, especially as I use my over 60s train pass too.

It will be perfect when pubs introduce reduced prices for those of the grey haired tribe

Five years to go. I think I've got a 50/50 chance of making it.

I can't get my first old git pass until next year by which time they'll no doubt extend the age in line with government policy. In the meantime the renewal of a full adult season for the Ellerslie is a few quid more than last time round. It's a good job performances on the pitch have been looking up otherwise even folks like me (52 years a ST holder and counting) would be questioning the value.

I gave mine up last summer and won't be getting another but does this mean season ticket prices are going up excluding those who renew early i.e. new season ticket holders? We must be one of the only clubs doing this if so.

I think so, though if you are a member you can get the early bird discount.

Ipswich have definitely increased prices for next season! A non ST holder can buy one for next season at a lower price that this seasons full amount if they purchase in this window.

One good thing for next season will be a reduction in the amount of games we are moved for television. Thank you Villa, Newcastle & Sunderland!

Even Leeds won't be there first choice!

Cheap beer for the over 60s, I would vote for that!

Finding it very hard to decide whether to renew and need to decide by tonight.

Miss so many games due to weddings, family commitments etc at the moment (I'm in the wedding phase!) that it is poor value for money for me, but value the time I get to spend with my old man at Lotus Road incredibly highly. More so than watching the game. Hard call!

Sounds like you better renew your ticket. Spending the time with your father is priceless, take my word on it.
