Well Sturridge is called up to England so he'll be injured by the time of our game so Benteke might well be first choice out of the strikers not on crutches
Looking at how poor Benteke has been for Liverpool this season, I can't help but wonder something: in the summer of 2013 we had Baldini telling Levy that Benteke was the man to spearhead our attack and we should pay Villa the £25m asking price, on the other hand AVB said that Soldado was the man to lead the front line and we should pay whatever it took to sign him - and in the end AVB won...although that is a loose definition of the word "won" considering what happened. Judging by how Benteke coasts around the pitch in Liverpool's matches, I can't help but think that AVB may have been right. Say what you will about Soldado's miserable scoring record, as plenty of people have, but at least he always put in the effort on the pitch no matter what.
It gets worse when you realise he hasn't played for the best part of a year - not helped by MLS rules on overseas players meaning he had to sit around for several months waiting for a spot on the Cosmos' roster to free up.
Guess he just wants to live in New York. We all have our own priorities in life, and I guess footballers are no different.
So Leicester travel to Palace today, who are still without a win in 2016 and have a shocking home league record this season. Am I expecting a miracle for Palace to scrap a draw?
Adebayor's got to have one decent game for Palace, if only to justify his wages. Let's hope that this is the game.
