The funny thing is I very rarely bet but saw that if you make a £10 bet on Paddy Power you get 3 x £10 bets free.

It just turned out all three of my £10 bets won and I walk away with about £125 and leave myself a tenner that I've just got 17/2 on Juventus beating Bayern - not going to happen but who gives a **** <ok>

Then I'll close the account.

Atletico, they are good but I think not quite good enough.

Know what you mean. I think they are more suited to playing bigger teams, though. They are better at soaking up pressure and hitting people on the counter/from a set piece rather than having to be the team doing the probing and having the possession as they had to do against PSV. I think you might be right in the sense that their attack might not be creative and clinical enough to make it through to the final. Though who knows in a 2 legged tie, anything can happen. We won the thing with Milan Baros up front <laugh>

Agree! Watched the game tonight and both teams lacked that certain cutting edge that separates the really top teams from the next tier of teams. In athletics terms, Barca are Usain Bolt, a sub 19.70 runner, Atletico and PSV are at best 19.85 (Wallace Spearman at his peak)

I haven't seen a lot of Atletico, but they are very much a solid team and score the odd goal. Not overly exciting to watch either.
Theyre very much the Chelsea of Spain under mourinho.

If the draw is kind then the last 4 should be PSG, Barca, Bayern (if they knock out an obdurate Juve) and Real, however I just feel two from that list will meet in the QF meaning an opportunity for City, Atletico, Wolfsburg and Benfica to progress further. So that is 4 teams from the Iberian Peninsula. Two are bound to meet in the next round. City v Benfica .... I'd cheer for Benfica!!
