JC - the point is MB was in a position of responsibility - not an alcoholic idiot But real outside chance of Palace being the unexpected club going down -
That's true mate - I'm loathe to criticise an entire club based on the actions of a few, no matter how high up the club has put them. Understandable that that's what many media outlets will do though.
Palace have Leicester at home on Saturday, loose that one and either us or Newcastle win on Sunday and Pardew will have his worry beads working overtime.
Isn't Pappis Cisse still playing for your club even though it was revealed that he made a 13 year old child pregnant?
As far as I'm aware that was just an allegation made in a newspaper? Unless you're privy to something that the general population isn't I don't really see your point?
I think it was a hell of a lot more than that. No charges were ever brought though, but that does not excuse NUFC for continuing to play him.
Specifically, what? I find this a fairly astonishing stance given that you backed Sunderland playing Johnson even when he confessed to kissing a 15 year old, simply because he intended to plead not guilty.
Nobody knows what was really said or who new what ....when . In either Cisse or Johnson case nobody really knows anything ......kind of ironic it's Newcastle and Sunderland fans doin the figuring though as nothin getting knew .
That is not true...What I did say is that I will wait to hear what comes out in the trial before passing any moral judgement.
Give over mate you can't rewrite history. You thought Maggie Byrne had done nothing wrong and the club had Given in to media pressure!
What do you know about " The kiss " , could have been explained to Byrne as a peck on the cheek . What " Texts " was Byrne privy to seeing when she made her decision to re instate . Byrne 's biggest guilt is being overan by other parties and their lawyers . Very little will come of anything with Byrne , nor Sunderland from here re: Johnson , except for the peanut gallery " Gotcha " posters pretending there in the loop .
The facts are that she had the transcript of the text conversations and unless you've been living under a rock you know what was in them. From a moral standpoint, her decision not to uphold Johnson's suspension is frankly disgusting. As proven by the club's correct decision to relieve her of her duties. As for your last point, I have no interest in point scoring whatsoever. If there are people who can't see when something is far more important than football then that's a huge issue for them, but not for me.
Oh give over man. She would have been sacked if she hadn't fallen on her sword. Is this kind of petty pedantry more important to you than the issue of child abuse?
