Not 'exactly' true no, but a certain level of truth to it, i'm considering our recent run of less than awesome performances rather than just the MK Dons match, and it's basically the same back 4, same top 2, clucas back where he played vs Brighton, Weds, Brum, elmo/hudd in for snodgrass/livermore due to injury with as you say Meyler for Hayden as what could be considered an optional change. I know he's a little limited by injuries at the moment, but if that is to be the starting 11, it doesn't suggest any kind of change in tactics or formation that have been quite painfully exposed over the past 2 months, which is a worry
Unfortunately I fear if we played those players it would turn out like this: ----------------Gregs Dave Dawson Davies Robbo Snodders Meyler Hudd Clucas ---------------Diame ------------- Hernandez
Meyler in might be a good choice for tonight given he has a point to prove after his brainfade v Arsenal last week. Bruce should be angling to have his strongest team for Boro on Friday as beating them would be huge, I wouldn't have Meyler in that team, also if Hudds plays tonight I wouldn't start him on Friday, 2 games in quick succession is not for either of those players as we have found out all season
I suspect Karanka will go 4-2-3-1 on Friday, with Clayton and Leadbetter protecting the back four and Rhodes alone up top. Karanka also only has Plan A, no Plan B!
I'm not one of his biggest fans but I would be tempted to play Aluko out wide tonight. Need someone to do something a bit different. Think Snods and Jake will both play Friday.
Our last 6 league games have seen us 'running on empty' with 2 goals for and 2 goals against, 1 win 4 draws and a loss. Even the most ardent fan could only class this as pathetic for a leading club in this league. We are well overdue for a change for the better. The 10 million quid man hasn't scored in the past 8 whilst we haven't come remotely near getting the all-important 'run-of-the-ball' which can be so decisive. Some players remain in first gear from the kick-off whilst, yet again, we sustain injuries to players we could really expect to be putting in a shift. I have forecast a 2-0 win to us but am with "Happy Tiger" here in the hope that surely we can get it all together for a change and put 4 past them. Will be tuning in as usual at the unearthly hour of 6.45am (Oz Time) in the hope that this game is the corner we hope to turn in our quest for Premier League Football.
"JEFF IN THE SUNDAY SUN BORO COULD DO WITH HULL NOT TURNING UP ON FRIDAY 14th March 2016" Doesn't Jeff know we are always fashionably late (45 minutes)?
I think most of us would just be happy with a win after our results lately yes cause it would be nice to score two three even four goals but the form we have been in I would be happy to take 3 points, reading about them I dont think in their last half dozen away games they have not let many in but its all about us confidence isn't great but back this team and lets get back running because if ever a team needs its fans its when you are going through a period that we have.
Livermore maydo but nobody else. With a 2 week break it hardly matters that much. We have enough quality already fit and ready. As for tonight, 3 - 5 - 2 for me but I doubt that SB will go that way. ----------------McGregor .........Maguire Dawson(c) Davies Odubajo-----Clucas.......-Meyler.......Robertson --------Huddlestone Aluko------------- Hernandez
