Brighton could go second on Tuesday. They'll be delighted. City now have the tightest defence in the division.
Yes that's right. Whenever I post I really should include all the facts in the world that I know. Thanks for the reminder.
It's a funny old game, Saint. Derby signed freescoring Blackman from Reading in the window (to add to their already big collection of expensive attackers) and the Borough signed the coveted Rhodes. I thought they would both step on the gas and make a bid for the summit. Since then both clubs have imploded.
The team with Nottingham in its name plays outside the city boundary. The Notts team plays inside the city, 300 yards away. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem claims to be the country's oldest pub. But it's crap - the nearby Salutation Inn is miles better. There's a house halfway down Derby Grove with "NO FLAMINGOS" written on the wall out front.
Anyone else feels like this week will define the season, or regardless of results they'll still be many twists and turns?
If we win both games it's season defining, but if we draw the game with Boro it's all to play for. Boro will lose enough games to keep us in it one way or another though.
How about players who have played for both clubs? Jack Hobbs Alan Fettis Garry Parker Paul Anderson (did he ever get to play for us?) Michael Dawson Andy Dawson (though he never actually played for Forest) Dele Adebola Nick Barmby (had a loan spell there) Paul McKenna Tom Ince (loan) And I'm sure many more.
DH Lawrence Kenneth Clark Carl Froch Stuart Broad Tom Huddlestone Jeff Astle Harold Shipman Some famous people from Nottingham. Including that murdering twat Shipman.
