While we need to treat Man C with respect, we simply have to take the game to them more. We have seen how vulnerable they can be under pressure. Somehow City need to get playing like they did at the end of the first half.
If we could just string 2 passes together in a row, it would be just a breath of fresh air! This is ridiculous.
O'Neill has played better in the past, so maybe he's getting back to being better again. Comment from BBC website - "One team is nominally fighting for the title, one team is fighting to stay up. And they've served up an absolute rotter of a game. One to miss." Won't bother with MotD then!!!
My home win nearly came true!!! Comment from Big Ears - 'How wonderfully considerate of Leicester's title challengers to continue to drop points.'
We defended so well. That was brilliant!! Even Olsson did well!! Klose looked very solid, O'Neil was class. My MOTM. Dorrans was bloody awful and nearly cost us the game a few times. Bamford didn't do much, as I thought. Had a good shot against the crossbar, that was about it. The side worked so hard, defended as a team. Just a shame we never looked like scoring, and our passing (apart from the last 20 minutes of the first half) was bloody awful again. Why couldn't we defend and fight like that against the Sh*t teams!? Play more like that against Villa and Swansea, and we could have got some points. Unfortunately we still don't have a striker who can score or shoot, but defensively the workrate and fight was there. That was really really nice to see for the first time in about 2 1/2 months. Fantastic to get a point, I was expecting 4 or 5-0 today.
Not a bad result that. Defence looked incredibly well organised. Shame we haven't had Timm all season. Any points from this game we're always going to be a bonus and we can take some confidence in our defending.
Some good performances but I agree Gary O'Neil was absolutely immense today. Perhaps his best performance in a yellow shirt and the same can be said for Klose. Olsson much improved thank goodness, Dorrans dreadful. I fear Jarvis may become one of those players who never looked quite as good after we paid for them.
I'd have like to have seen him him stay on when Jerome replaced Wes to play off CJ, as he's not - and never has been, a lone striker, holding the ball up, etc Another example of square pegs expecting him to adapt his game in 90 minutes to play that type of role, imo, when that's clearly not his forte. Backs to the wall but very solid defending, though, and as mentioned, I thought Klose and O'Neil were superb. An unexpected point, which at least stems that awful run of defeats
