I would love to see a quality British player come through but if there are any then they are taken
The French game hinges on this type of player hence why there are so many good ones available and the lure of a London club is strong
I hope they are looking because we can't rely on Henry all the time to hold the teams shape together . Yes his confidence was poor but so was the entire team
Henry playing natural and free is good for us ... He will keep getting picked because he is important
I hope Faurlin can stay fit as without doubt this is our best midfield ... A midfield that grows into a game from kick off ... Without this heart you cannot win football matches over a run
These two play and get stronger we could be close for that sixth spot no joke if you look at the fixtures
A very good performance tonight. Totally dominant in the first half, closing down all over the pitch and with Chery linking everything in the centre. We seemed to sit back more in the second half and Derby began to get better possession, but perhaps this was a bit of tiredness setting in. Good to kill the game with a second goal and avoid a nervous last few minutes. JFH got the back four selection right with Hill replacing Hall and Perch reinstated at left back (why did we ever play him anywhere else?). Smithies was untroubled, Faurlin and Henry were solid, Hoillett was industrious and Polter was a nuisance. Chery MOM for me though, for his first half showing.

That was a good game of football tonight. It started off in the Coningham where a few of us from our forum met. Ellers, Tooting, Stroller, Sku and myself ( And a few other fans not of this forum.) I've had the pleasure of being in the first three's company before, but I'd never met sku. I pm'd and invited him along as I knew he used to frequent this particular establishment and we used to share a joke on here about the midget barmaid.
'' I'll be wearing a blue jacket and a black baseball cap. '' He said
Lo and behold a bloke in a blue jacket and a black baseball cap walks in. I gave it a few minutes and went up to him and said '' Alright sku, I'm Ninesy.''
He looked at me as if I was mad. 'Sorry, mistaken identity mate. '
I went back to the table and said that's not him.
''That's probably him at the bar'' said Ellers.
Standing right behind me at the bar is a bloke in a blue jacket and a black baseball cap. I asked the person in question and it was indeed him, and what a gent and an all round fantastic bloke.
That's what I like about meeting our fellow not606's, we're all more or less from the same ilk. We all share something in common and in the personal meet and greets we all get along like long lost brothers ( and sisters of course ... Beth. ) There were some who declared that the real life meet-ups were detrimental to our board. I'd argue the opposite.
Anyway onto the game, we were excellent first half, Derby had a little spell in the second and Stroller's post above is pretty much spot on. So I don't have to really elaborate much more. Big shout out to Clint Hill. He was 'Captain Fantastic' tonight and showed us what we can be if we have great leader's on the pitch. Something that was lacking on Saturday v The MK Dons. Every player played well tonight and I can't find fault in any of them. Good stuff.
I also bumped into Roller, Capt Croydon Jack, Judo and W. Sussex on the way home at Shepherds Bush Station. Us not606's are everywhere.
We have had more than our fair share of crap games lately. Tonight was a great one. UR's
Thanks to you and others for the reports. Sounds like we may need Clint for a few more based on what Oldfield was saying about Hall pre- game - they weren't sure what his injury really is yet.
True but once upon a time both of those were very good players. It must just be coincidence but Keogh always looks awful when I see him play.
I personally thought he was excellent in the play off final. Close second to Bobby for my MoM.
Is there any more news yet about Halls injury?
I love Clint but fear he wouldn't be able to perform to his best over a sustained run of games now.

Well he would if he played the same effing formation away from home and same intensity.....and it's not the players as there is different mind set
That's just ridiculous.
Rio Ferdinand was just about the best centre back in the World when he was in his prime. Superb on the ball and in the air and very quick.
It's even funnier when you tell your Mrs that you are meeting blokes you met on line?

Hasselbaink hails ‘Mr QPR’ for superb Derby display despite hamstring injury
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink paid tribute to Clint Hill after the veteran defender returned to the QPR side for their 2-0 victory against Derby at Loftus Road.
The 37-year-old R’s stalwart, who has been nursing a hamstring problem, was brought back into the starting line-up because of an injury to Grant Hall. Hill had an excellent game at the back as Rangers picked up only their fourth win in 18 matches since Hasselbaink took over as manager.
Hasselbaink said: “Clint Hill came in and played with a little injury, played the whole game and was tremendous. He’s got a hamstring injury but it didn’t look like it. We all know that he’s Mr QPR. We all know that he loves the club and it shows in his performances that he cares.”
QPR keeper Alex Smithies’ throw led to James Perch crossing for Tjaronn Chery to volley home after 24 minutes, and Gabrielle Angella buried Matt Phillips’ free-kick at the far post with four minutes remaining. It left Rangers nine points off the play-off places and still in with an outside chance of promotion.
“You should always dream, because that’s healthy. You should never lose that little kid in yourself,” Hasselbaink said when asked if his team could yet reach the top six. The Dutchman added: “I think we played ever so well from minute one until the last minute of the game. In the first half we dominated with and without the ball and scored a really magnificent goal. For the whole of the first half we were very in control. The second half was obviously different because Derby were pushing a little bit more. But we were solid and our shape was very strong. It was a very good response from the players. We could have done better on the break but that’s me being a little bit picky. Overall it was a great team performance.”

No praise for Junior Hoilett on here which surprises me, He worked tirelessly again last night both going forward and tracking back and probably had more touches than anyone else. I know he's been the definition of inconsistency for several years AND he's not the world's most intelligent player AND he's probably on his way in the summer anyway but I do think his recent performances deserve some recognition.
He won't get much praise on here mate. Too many are prejudiced by their view of him.

What?! Didn't Sku use the obligatory Not606 pin? It should be used every time, that combined with our secret handshake is our security against all imposters out there
Hoilett had a very good game.
In my earlier short summary I described him as 'industrious', which he was, but that may be seen as faint praise I suppose. It wasn't meant to be.

I know, I know but a strange man walks into a bar wearing a black baseball cap and a blue jacket you've just got to approach him. I was going to look down for the badge but that might of made the situation even more awkward regarding the first bloke.
It all worked out well in the end as sku had a pocketful of 'Pins' and handed them out to anyone who didn't have one.
Hoilett was superb and looked dangerous every time he got on the ball. I think if you was watching the game as a neutral or as an opposition fan he would have been our stand out player.
