No comparison, not even remotely close, IMO. Trump is a braggart, a bully, an egomaniac. He's far in excess of anybody like Farage. Farage would have no chance of being elected P.M. in Britain! Yet he's a liberal compared to Trump!
True dat... The Muslim 'issue' is often presented context-free, in that there are 1.6 billion of them and if they were all extremist nutters we'd all probably have been blown up by now. All religions could do with getting a bit more progressive but most people are actually good (or at least don't want to kill everyone who is not like them). This and the West's recent historical role in the Middle East is habitually missing from the debate as presented by right wing outlets.
Trump is the only candidate though (apart from Sanders), who wants the US to pull out of the middle east and stop interfering. He also wants the US to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia.
I question whether he has any discernable / credible policies. Last year he outlined a foreign policy that had US troops actually on the ground in the Middle East and they would demand funds from the other Arab States to fight IS.

Given how Cameron went from saying tax dodging was "morally wrong" when Jimmy Carr was caught to circling the wagons around Topry donor Gary Barlow when he was caught, expect his response to this revelation to be something along the lines of slagging off Jeremy Corbyn's beard during PMQs - which will become the story, rather than what the story actually is.
Cameron now says he had shares in one of his father's offshore funds. Clearly nothing illegal if he has paid all the tax, but interesting that this is the fourth comment he's made on the issue and the first time he's admitted it. Also says he has not benefited from his father's (dodgy) dealings. Er, what about inheriting from his father, what about his education and his upbringing - how was that paid for?
The most embarrassing thing about it to me is the (relatively) puny amount he pocketed: 31,500 pounds. It reminds me of the nameless, faceless legion of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania legislators who get caught with their hand in the cookie jar grabbing five, ten or 20,000 dollars. Just as a matter of self-respect, it’s embarrassing to be represented by someone who sells his integrity so cheaply. Toffs are supposed to be harder to buy. Not Cameron. This kind of thing may not be illegal. It’s certainly seamy. It destroys any credibility Cameron may have on the topics of money, ethics and patriotism. Tbf, I’m not sure he ever had any.
Personally, although I'm not a big Cameron fan, I don't think it matters two f@@@@s what his father did. That is very good though
Considering how the Tories were only too happy to pile in when the Mail made some libelous and (more importantly) false comments about Ed Milliband's father, that makes Cameron's father fair game - especially since the Tories are trying to cry foul about their own tactics being used against them.
It maybe is fair game to mention it, but mentioning it makes f@@@@ all difference imo. Why should he be judged by the actions of his father ?
He shouldn't. He should be judged on his complete inaction on the tax evasion that his father earned his money from.
I'm no Cameron supporter but this particular charge is inaccurate. Almost all investment companies such as unit trusts are incorporated in countries where there is zero corporation tax on such companies. The Cameron trust was simply a private version of a Unit Trust which enabled the participants to club together to make foreign investments with exactly the same tax consequences as if they had invested individually.
