Two average teams, gonna be both tight games I'm sure. Advantage is already with utd as they have the 2nd leg at home, but that count for nothing if we prevent them getting an away goal.

I must say that utd looked decent at west brom til sending off.

blind is the real weak link at the back for them.

They're good at running at players in the box, but so long as you don't do something stupid it doesn't get them anywhere

No doubt there will be numerous contactless flops, which will all be excused as "evasive action"

updated for injuries.

Utd look like they've a back 4 again but look a bit light in midfield now. Felliani is bound to start v us seeing we can't defend set piece. van gaal won't miss that trick. rooney being out improves them lindgard has done well.

The perfect storm for utd:

LFC leg 1 away. Thursday 8pm.

Utd whine about having to play so long with 10 men after so many games the weekend before....

West ham at home in 6th round of FA cup. Huge tie. west ham will want to play on counter.

then utd have to play a fresh lfc in second leg.

......

then right after utd play city at the eithad for the 4th place trophy.

......

oh dear, not ideal but big teams do big things when the crunch comes right?

utd would love to get this one won in the first leg.

LFC have got to not bottle this one and especially henderson who usually does the broomstick challenge by running around in a circle before firing his shots high and wide as he feels he's channeling the spirit of gerrard somehow.

Utd's worst case in next two weeks is season over

Lfc's worst case is merely confirming we are as ****e as we all think anyway.

You have misunderstood my gentle post, Klopp is in the Rodgers, Hodgeson, Moyes, van Gaal bracket (as has been proven with performances and results), to match him against a genius like Fergie would be very unfair (unless it was the Royal Fergie) <ok>
Hows about you go and compare his results with those of Fergie when he first joined?
You seem to have forgotten he took a quite a while to drag your sorry arses out of the ****.

I remember the early Fergie years well thanks.

I think you should read post #9 to help clarify the context of my posts for you :emoticon-0100-smile

I've read it.
That's twice now- doesn't make any difference to my reply.
You said Klopp's stats show he's on a level with Rodgers, Hodgson, (which you misspelt) Moyes, and van Gaal, and it would be unfair to compare him with a "genius like Fergie".
Now if you'd care to point out how that undermines the validity of my comment I'd appreciate it.

It was suggested that a match up between Fergie and Klopp would be great, I said it would be fairer with van Gaal, I then went on to explain why. Do you think Klopp is at Fergies level at the moment?

You will notice I compared Klopp to 2 managers from each of our clubs who had been poor during their tenure, I did not suggest Klopp would stay at that level for ever.

Klopp is above Fergie's level, the only thing Fergie has over him is being in the game longer

Fergie benefitted from massive influence in the domestic compeitions, Man Utd's financial power on the back of massive debt. Consequently he was destroyed in Europe whenever he didn't have those advantages.

Van Gaal is probably better than Fergie in Europe TBF.
