While IIke many fans I welcome the challenge of a non fancied club for the title, I am not overly impressed with their football. A long ball style of football, which used to typify English football. Of course it is the most effective system for the players they've got but it is symptomatic of the weaknesses of the so called big clubs like City, Arsenal, Spurs Man United and even LFC that a team playing such a simple (and primitive) system can be so successful.

When I watched them this afternoon, I am puzzled how they can be top of the league and that most top teams have been unable to beat them.
Love it, by that I take it you mean all the fancy modern tactics cant cope with or are useless against an old fashioned system :emoticon-0100-smile

I also think you should watch them a little more, they play much better football than Liverpool and their midfield is really very good.
They are far from a long ball to the fast boy team (see Liverpool with Torres) <ok>

Agree. Plus what's wrong with going long ball in the odd game if that's the best tactic that will get you the best result possible. A good team should be able to switch styles when necessary

Long ball is effective for them but Mahrez is the difference and he is worth paying to watch n on his own. Player of the season imo

To be fair, they have a team of very good/effective players. No £50mil stars, no big names, just good hard working professionals doing their job.

pretty sad how you say that with a touch of surprise, an indictment of many preening non-performing players all over the PL

Way off with the hashtags, the lad is very calm and balanced (though passionate), I have never seen a video of his that I didn't agree with, either about his own team or others.

If there's any justice in the world McClaren will never manage another football team anywhere, how the **** did he even end up as a manager ?! A wooden doorstop would have more ideas and positive impact
