I hope Matic gets his mojo back..... pure class last season,then do we want/need Pogba?
 
I would say yes, Pogba isnt as out and out defensive as Matic, plus lots of teams play with two defensive minded midfielders.
We often play Mikel and Matic in midfield, Pogba would just be a huge upgrade on Mikel.

If he's going to play 3 at the back we'll only need 1.
 
I think we will shift formation when Conte comes in. I personally have never liked the 4-2-3-1 formation. I also don't think we have the players to manage it. We should far more attacking and open. We have the players for that style.

I think we should try and take advantage of the problems at Madrid and their historic bad decision making when they want to refresh things (Sneijder and Robben for instance) and try and get Kroos or James. They'll be expensive but maybe a deal to be had.

Oh we haven't a chance of getting him. My question was more to see if it was Conte who gave him a chance in the first team. RLC is a similar sort of player so i wonder if Conte will find better use of him. We've wasted him so far.
 
Yes, always thought RLC position is CM / DM. God knows why he is played up / wide.
Everyone is talking about Poch being Amazing. Then what about Bilic, especially when (if) spam finish above spuds.
 
Some of you might agree now that City have a good chance to lose out on Top 4.

What are the odds for Spam, Soton & Liverpool to get into top 4?
All 3 have good chance with some momentum building up for them.

So, officially going to support Spam, Soton & Liverpool for Top 4 with Leicester!!

we have made up 4 points on City from 5 games.
Had Gus not gifted few valuable points - we would be within 4 or 5 points of City by now.

Now we need to make 10 from 7 games. It is impossible.
But KDB back means City is shoe in. Bad timing <doh>

I would take if both Manchester teams miss out on top 4.

it was 13 vs 9 against Everton - Lukaku & Barkley already played for Luckchester UTD there.
 
Just a shame, Luckchester is still in with a shout for the 4th spot.
Goons can seriously miss out on top 4.
But Arsene does this 'Dangerous routine' year in year out.
Bring Goons closer to missing out on top 4 & somehow manage 4th yet again.

Now then City are 99% to drop out of Top 4.
Unfortunately Manures will usurp 4th spot.
That is fine if that keeps Jose away!! Blessing in Disguise!!
 
Fine with United getting 4th, they are hamstrung by LvG anyway.
City on the other hand, will suffer far more from not being in the CL, both financially, and in terms of holding them back as a threat.
So I am all for United usurping them for 4th.

However Pep going to City to win them the C.L and then not being in it would be pretty hilarious.

Ideal world is United make 4th, meaning they keep LVG. United will remain average for next year and Pep will have to suffer Europa League :).

Wow... poor performance from Spammers today.

Cannot really hold our breath on LvG staying. They will still sack him even if he gets top 4 & FA cup.
