An absolute disgrace - can't play a televised domestic game on a Champions League night - bollox. I blame the EU - vote out - I know, I know - no politics!! And this fixture pile up is caused by some needless international friendly at Easter when we usually have a couple of games to look forward to - what moron came up with that idea?

True, but let's make sure we do win it and not have another "but we played really, really well but didn't get the 3 points" performance.

Don't know a lot of their players but I thought those three would have been their three best players.

    Still second if we lose.
It's all about finishing in the top 2, not winning the league in style or playing 3-3-1-2-1 with a false no.9, or Lucy in the Sky with Diamande.
The bigger picture not short term bipolar kneejerks.

The bigger picture is that other teams are winning games comprehensively, they aren't piss arsing about trying not to concede. We should be going into every game knowing we have the quality to go on and win, not avoid conceding a goal. We obviously aren't doing that, we are setting up not to concede, scoring a goal seems to be priority number 2 at the moment.

It's great to get a clean sheet, but give me a 3-2 win over a 0-0 any day of the week.

    Which other teams?

    Borough? (chortle)

    Derby ? (arf!)
Only Burnley are winning more than us right now and they've had easier games in the last ten.

Give me a 1-0 dour win over an emotional 4-4 any day of the week.

If I want entertainment I'll watch 'Ice Road Truckers' or 'On the Buses'

I completely agree about the 1-0 over the 4-4. I think for most fans, winning is the best form of entertainment. Problem is if we don't score enough to win.

Maybe other managers know we have the best squad in the division and set up accordingly?
They have seen what happened to the top teams who came here and got gubbed, so they set up not to lose.

Sheff Wed and BHA are no mugs and paid us the ultimate respect of declining an open head to head game, in favour of a point and avoiding a beating.
We have to rely on teen Chubber as our no 2 striker, not ideal for him or us.....despite that handicap, we have the best goal difference.

At a certain point, you have to stop saying "Yeah, but..." and get right behind the team. What's done is done.

You've missed the point a bit, I'm happy to take a 1-0, but setting up to get a clean sheet isn't a strong platform for a win. We should be going for the win, let the defence worry about conceding goals. Or, if we take a 1 or 2 nil lead, shut up shop in the closing stages (note, this isn't the 60th or even 70th minute, I'm talking 85-90 minutes) and catch them on the break.

It's between four teams: us, Brighton, Boro and Burnley. There's only 2 automatic spots and I agree with you it doesn't matter about winning the league as long as we get up there, but we could easily lose those games in hand and we've lost our advantage. Brighton are only a point behind us, Boro on equal points and Burnley a point ahead. That's not enough to think "we're easily going to do this". We have 6 wins in our last 10, Burnley have 7 but they've not lost any of those whereas we've lost 2. Don't forget one of those 'easier games' came against us and we lost it. They also beat Boro and Derby, which easier games are those? Boro can easily turn it around, they have the quality like we do and Brighton are no mugs.

Our acid test will be when we play those so called 'weaker teams', but we need to win them, not celebrate a clean sheet or a good effort.

Failure to get promoted this season would be abysmal and would be akin to Celtic failing to win the SPL, given our quality and our manager's experience (not to mention the cost of our squad).

So basically, no matter what happens be happy? Who are you, Donnie Osmond? I'd prefer to take a more realistic approach to supporting City. Always back us to win, pick it apart if we lose. "We gave it a good go" isn't always enough, especially at this level. If we were playing Man U, Arsenal or whoever than that's fine, but not MK Dons, Rotherham or Preston.
