I know it's hardly on their scale, but the comment of the Nixon bloke [that journalist Alan, by any chance?] is typical of people with friendly favouritism towards celebrities. If you're guilty you're just as guilty whether you're the local chimney sweep or Prince Phillip or a favourite footballer. Justice for all. EDIT: Actually, I've just read the possible sentence.
