feel obliged to point out i have mentioned this a number of times. clearly something isn't right with Henderson if nothing else one of his great strengths was his ability to get round the pitch but that has reduced greatly since he returned from the injury
don't think he will which is why i put him on my list of players to go in the summer though i still will have regrets as during 13-14 he looked like he may become a serious player for us but without his fitness it ain't going to happen unfortunatelyExactly, it's slightly worrying, let's hope he can recover from it
We will end up doing the same as skrtel. Holding them for too long until they have little resell value left then your lumbered with an average player on stupid wages
different scenarios Hendersons value reduced due to worries that his injury restricts him out on the field where as Skrtle on big money and getting on which is why his resale value would be low - well lowish because i have this fear that the PL teams will do the normal and splurge nearly all the extra TV revenue due from next season on transfer fees / wages
That's what I mean with skrtel. Should have sold him couple of seasons ago when we could have got £20 mill for him. Now be lucky to get 5 I reckon.

oh i'm with you on Skrtle when Man city wanted him we should have sold (and i like Skrtle though accept his limitations) just couldn't see the connection with the Henderson situation

Not before he's tried rw/lw I hope. Bale wasn't a great defender was he, never know could be a stroke of genius, what do we have to lose.
the standard **** start to the season... to be fair he might be okay left wing but not sure he's got the brilliance of bale. He doesn't have that explosiveness and power.

Jurgen Klopp is planning a massive clearout at Liverpool as he looks to rebuild in the summer
“We have to change a lot of things to be successful,” said the Liverpool manager. “We can't be successful just because of the history of the club or the name of the manager or the names of the players.”
Here Express Sport explores what changes need to be made in his first team squad.
Goalkeeper
Simon Mignolet’s performance at Wembley was a microcosm of his Liverpool career. Good in places, but ultimately flawed. Mignolet kept Liverpool in the game, but only after he had put them behind the eight ball.
“I would lie if I said the goal they got in the final was 'unholdable,' but Simon knows it too,” said Klopp.
“I am not sure it is a mistake but it was not perfect.”
Liverpool must not repeat the error of last summer when they recruited Adam Bogdan on a free transfer from Championship side Bolton and mistakenly believed he would challenge Mignolet.
A genuine rival has to be recruited so that when pre-season training begins the pecking order is, at the very least, unclear.

Tweaks to Liverpool’s rearguard are already being put in motion. Joel Matip will arrive in the summer on a free transfer from Schalke and Klopp is also keen on Leicester City’s teenage left-back Ben Chilwell.
Only seven teams in the Premier League boast a worst defensive record than Liverpool this season and injuries have not helped the quest for consistency.
Martin Skrtel is back in training but has been sidelined since December 20, Dejan Lovren has been unable to put a run of games together and Mamadou Sakho struggles to convince.
The opportunity is there for Lovren to emerge as the leader Liverpool desperately need in defence.
Otherwise, there could yet be further changes. Pre-season will be important for Klopp in providing him with a chance to further bed down ideas and a way of playing without the interruption of matches.
Midfield
The shortcomings in midfield have been evident all season and have become a major problem for Klopp.
There is no little industry, but not enough craft and creativity and the supply line to the strikers has suffered accordingly.
A lack of physicality is also an issue and that does not mean a bruising, 6ft 7ins player.
Javier Mascherano and N’Golo Kante are short on stature, but huge in presence. There is interest in Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski, who is on loan at Empoli from Udinese, but that deal is seen as being complicated. Udinese are owned by the Pozzo family who also run Watford.
Watford’s interest in Jerome Sinclair, who is out of contract this summer and will leave, could help smooth negotiations.
In addition, Liverpool supporters will hope Klopp’s German contacts can uncover the sort of dominant midfielder who provides bite and a range of passing.
Lazar Markovic will return from loan at Fenerbahce to provide width and Mario Gotze, who played under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, has just over one year left on his contract at Bayern Munich.
Strikers
The difference a 20-goal-a-season player would have made this season is obvious, though solving the conundrum of Liverpool’s striking problems is far from straight-forward.
When everyone is fit and firing, the only striker better than Daniel Sturridge in the Premier League is arguably Sergio Aguero. Yet Liverpool cannot endure another season like this. Much will depend on how Sturridge wants to stay.
Christian Benteke seems likely to leave given Klopp’s unwillingness to trust him, so Liverpool could yet need two strikers this summer.
The unknown in all of this is just how much Divock Origi is going to kick on (the same could be said of Kevin Stewart in midfield), but Klopp must have at least one striker he feels he can rely on next season.
Conclusion
Liverpool need a new spine. When Carlo Ancelotti was sounded out to succeed Brendan Rodgers back in October, he made that very point to owners, Fenway Sports Group.
Klopp’s view was the squad he was inheriting did not lack quality. The plans afoot for the summer suggest he is changing his thinking.
