I hope everyone's realised finally. . No not about klopp but about how bang average our team is.

Harry redknapp bottled it but his first statement was just that bang average. He then got the that's on twitter laying in and ran for the hills.

If anyone doesn't remember where we ended up when say houllier came in or where rafa ended up and this league is far more competitive.

This is a whole rebuild job.

Bang average is being kind; utter **** is fact, and unless a miracle happens tomorrow night we'll be 11th into the weekend.

The problem you face is that the Shermans have sunk about £160m net into that squad, and over £300m gross.

When you're looking to recycle some of that cash they're going to blow their tits off compared to the balance sheet asset values.

He's going to have to wheel and deal like old 'Arry this summer to turn that pile of **** into a squad that's capable of doing anything of real note in this league.

It's highly unlikely we'll recoup what we paid for the dross.

Sure. They'll recycle. Irrespective of balance sheet... shock nobody really actually cares about that o pared to packed grounds and excitement.

Fsg got their shock last summer when the Asian tour turned I to half empty ground and zero buzz and I feel Rodgers sack was decided then. They waited on klopp I think.

I would fully expect klopp to buy new players not marquee players like go the rumour. That's just stupid. Never happening.

Klopp will buy what he buy and be judged on it. Not after 2 months of next year Imo it will take 2 or 3 years

Reporters in various papers stating he's being given a **** load...how much we believe that we'll just have to see.

Said it before and say it again.

If manager says he's the player for us and the player is willing then spend to get him.

Interesting that FSG dudes have admitted they concentrated on that analytics ****e too much with the Redsocks so hopefully they just leave Klopp to it and sign the cheques....

  17. All want instant success and are treating Klopp now as if he was appointed in the summer. Even if he were, he'd still require more time.

I can't wait for the summer tbh. I want to see all the ins and outs. I want to see the wild swinging axe and the impact he has in the quality of arrivals. Above all that, I can't wait to see a true Klopp team next season!

    This is pure spin.

    1) Liverpool's £240m debt went with Hicks and Gillette. It was the terms of RBS's firesale. Ludicrous comparison.

    2) The £47m debt has ben there since they bought the club. It was called the 'stadium' debt -i.e that was owed to the architects and so forth who'd 'worked' on H&G's castle-in-the-sky new stadium plans. It wsn't written off as it didn't effect any FFP (remeber that?) figures. Nevertheless, that and the £200m paid to RBS valued the club @ £250m - £250m less than Hicks had turned down in a final offer from DIC only 18 months before, as he was allegedly holding out for the £660m ($1bn) valuation from Forbes from before the financial crash. Tee hee on that, but they still got it undervalued because, according to RBS, they had 'immediate' plans to start stadium work. Hmmm.

    3) As sort of admitted, the bulk of the £60m profit is the proceeds of the sale of Suarez. Much as we wasted a lot of our transfer budget in the last two summers, that's almost exactly what it all was - the transfer budget generated by the revenue of the club. Most of the Suarez money hasn't been touched.

Now look, I don't object to Jurgen getting that (and a bloody lot more, I pray) rather than Brendan. Ford aside, Brendan bought total crap, and don't just blame the 'committee', as Brendan's last transfer act was to stamp his foot and insist on meeting Benteke's buy-out clause. What will we get back from that? But, please God, can we get away from this failed moneyball idea, the one that culminated in us buying Balotelli because we were, supposedly, convinced we could turn his career around and make him a £50m player? Hopefully Jurgen has his eye on players that will contribute towards his plans for strengthening the squad of LFC, not the banl account of LFC with some future idea of turning us into some glorified football player car lot.

    Rant over.

The issue isn't getting new players, it's selling some of the useless dumb ****s we currently employ and the fact that they know it's a nice cushy deal being with us, just like that pointless **** Borini

Because of our insane schedule and injuries, I don't think Klopp has even been able to start properly training the players until last week maybe.

Still very useful for him to be here though in terms of learning about the squad, the league, the cups (replays exist), the media etc.
