depends what we could achieve with him in the squad, if he got us cl football regularly or a title or a few cups etc, then that value is well and truly justified.

if you was referring to migs, well he isnt worth a wet fart useless fecker.

i just dont rate Ter stegen that highly maybe an improvement on Migs but not the level required.Anyway I still think getting the defence and GK to work together instead of as 5 seperate individuals is the most important thing

You are all missing the fact that under Klopp Mingolet has improved from totally hopeless to bang average.

Klopp says stay cool. If we keep changing you get nowhere. Let klopp work is what I say.

You can give a player bottle though. I think you are born with it... you hone it through work and experience but lads who run off line markovic get a lot of credit cos they ain't here while guys like Mingolet get no credit for working hard trying g to turn their sows ear into a silk purse.

I am shocked nobody seems to have noted Ter Stegen is nothing special at all....

Ter Stegen is brilliant. Not set the world alight at Barca but wasn't expected to yet - he's the successor to Bravo.

Bear in mind - he's only 23. Loads of talent and heir to the Neuer throne.

If we got him, we'll be getting a top class keeper. But I think there are other up and coming keepers from Germany which have the same potential but cheaper.

Benteke rejected the chance to leave Liverpool in January – the Chinese Super League expressed an interest. (Chris Bascombe)

Benteke, who rejected overtures from China in January, is among those who will be made available for transfer. #LFC (Tony Barrett)

Tony Barrett - Liverpool are continuing to show interest in Mario Götze, Piotr Zielinski and Ben Chilwell

#LFC are looking to sign a goalkeeper who will put Mignolet's place under pressure. Bogdan is expected to leave. (Tony Barrett)

"The future of £32.5m striker Christian Benteke is swathed in doubt along w/team-mates including goalkeeper Simon Mignolet" #LFC (Joyce)

#LFC who have been linked with Mario Gotze, are anxious to recruit Piotr Zielinski. Markovic expected to be brought back. (Dom King)

Allen is set to depart, Kolo, Teixeira & Jose Enrique are out of contract. Moreno is also struggling to assert his credentials. #LFC (Joyce)

Reports today suggest Klopp will be allowed to spend bigin the summer and will be after a GK, LB, CM and ST, with Matip obviously already coming. The club will also apparently target Gotze as a marquee signing.

The transfer panel will obviously still be in charge. Ter Stegen is a classic committee signing.

    Stegen/Mignolet
    Clyne/Flanagan,
    Matip/Lucas
    Sakho/Lovren
    New/Smith
    Can/Henderson
    New/Stewart
    Markovic/Milner
    Gotze/Firmino
    Coutinho/Lallana
    Sturridge/New/Origi

Certainly positive ideas but I cannot see us getting Gotze.

No doubt Gotze may have admiration for Klopp, but he is at one of the biggest clubs in the world, any move to the premier league would be a step down. They also have Ancelotti coming in, so I am sure he will wanna see (guessing that he could maybe be unhappy under Guardiola).

Ancellotti tends to take a year with a new squad before signing and selling.

Lucas could well be our new CB.

We need to improve the Henderson and Can duo in midfield though.
