Barca win and go 12 points clear of Madrid. It hasn't exactly gone quite to plan for young Gareth, has it?

CL winner in his first season there. Loads of money in the bank. Euros to look forward to this summer. How has it not "gone quite to plan" ?

Apart from the CL medal he would've had all of that at Spurs. I mean once you're on £100k a week anyway it's much of a muchness - and he never struck me as a gold digger. I think most people would agree that Real have been going through a period of relative instability, largely thanks to the bombastic style of Mr Perez, and have been underwhelming domestically under a sequence of divisive and sometimes unpopular managers. Not to mention the fact that Ronaldo apparently has the entire executive board yanking him off every weekend; his constant bitching surely grates on his team-mates? Maybe Bale was prepared for all of that from the outset?

A mate of mine sent this to me via text and it's a very revealing quote about the changing mindset at the club, I think.

"Before the game at Manchester City, I was having dinner with Lamela and I was still asking him if he reckoned we could finish in the top four."
"I’ve never seen anyone look at me with such disgust."
"He said, ‘My friend, we can win the title’." - Danny Rose.

How rare is that? An article in the Standard about Spurs that isn't speculating that players will be leaving. Case in point, they've got an article up where Michael Laudrup says Eriksen would be "ideal" for Barca. That is Michael Laudrup, the former Danish footballer who played at Barcelona for five seasons.

**** off with that ****.

The Lord works in mysterious ways:

Coming up for Leicester:

WBA- why we didn't buy Berahino
Watford- Capoue and Gomez
Newcastle- Townsend
Palace- we still pay Adebayor

And then they will still have to face Defoe, Gylfi and Azza

They might have to face Pritchard tonight. Hewould do his Spurs career a lot of good with a hatrick.

So could Berahino... <whistle>

I'd be happy to see Pritchard get a decent amount of game time, never mind start finding the net.
He's been out for a long time and I think it'll take him quite a while to get up to speed fully.
