Very tight that. Depends how they scored the first 5 rounds when nothing happened. For me Frampton has edged it just because he did slightly more early on

Could have gone either way that Beefy. Only a slow start let Quigg down, he dominated from 7th onwards and Frampton was out on his arse after 11th. No controversy there, if Quigg had got decision it would have been fair aswell

Quigg hardly threw a punch in the first 5 rounds did he?! Carl was too smart for the first half of the fight, whilst Quigg was almost embarrassing for that period. Apart from the 11th, where he had Frampton in bother, for 70% of the fight Frampton was too classy. Thank god the judges didn't screw him over, for the good of the sport.

Onwards and upwards now for the Champ!

Quigg let himself down in the first half but Frampton didn't exactly do anything either other than walk forward. Odds going into last round were 4/6 Frampton 8/1 draw 5/4 Quigg so pretty close. I reckon there will be a rematch if Frampton stays at the weight

Not sure what you were watching beefy. Pity it wasn't a 15 rounder. The first 5 rounds (maybe more) were a waste of space. Frampton was the classier boxer but the more it got into a dog fight the less chance he had. Quigg left it too late. A draw would not have surprised me but if there was going to be a winner on points it would have to be Frampton. They gave each other too much respect for far too long but now they know each other's power the rematch will be a different fight altogether. Quigg will go after him from the start and eventually will catch up with him.

Tyson Fury's some craic, tweeting about how bad a fight this was, people paying for this being hard done by, boring affair etc....Not disagreeing with any of that (it was a dud entertainment wise) but I'd suggest he rematch his title fight FFS <laugh>

Well to me it was a clear cut points win, so it was an easy enough. Two out of three judges give it that way, by 8 rounds to 4. I think that sums it up. How the other guy give it to Quigg I've no idea, maybe he'd spent the day out with Jimmy Nesbitt <whistle>

Even Eddie Hearn has said the best man won.

Spot on. I really don't think Frampton will stay at the weight though. There was talk of it after his last fight. And now he's unified the titles and beaten the fighter who every one wanted to see him in with he might move on now

I'd agree it was a very disappointing fight. Well the fight wasn't disappointing; it was the new dance they introduced for the first 5 or 6 rounds. Glad I didn't pay for that; I'd want half my money back. It was free on French TV

What beats me is how anyone can score those first 5 or 6 rounds. I think Frampton's dancing had a bit more style so that would have won him 5 rounds maybe. Bloody joke really. If they had said "Right, nothing has happened so far so neither boxer gets any points" they might have got on with it earlier. I agree though that there is no way they could give the fight to Quigg given that they have to score the first 5/6 non events.

If you were a judge Ronaldo, Mayweather may never have won a fight!

To me Frampton simply looked the better boxer in the fight. I just couldn't see how anyone (other than a Quigg fan) would say the wrong man won that. Definitely not.

I had it first two rounds all square, 3 to 6 Frampton, 7-11 Quigg, 12 Frampton so a draw by my cards but like I said earlier them first 5 or 6 rounds were so difficult to score but at the very least you could make a case for Frampton winning them. It would be very difficult to make a case for Quigg early on. I think Quigg watches that back he'll be gutted with himself. If he'd fought from the start like he did from the 6th or 7th he'd be a unified world champion now no doubt. But there had to be a loser a draw would have been ****e. Quigg will come again and Frampton will keep on rolling. He needs to ditch Barry McGuigan though what a bell end

Frampton won the first 2 rounds smokey. I couldn't see a rationale case to suggest otherwise to be honest. They weren't great rounds but Frampton edged them.

I'm not saying the wrong man won. I think it was the right result, all I'm saying is that it wasn't the one sided master class that you seem to think it was and that there was nothing controversial about it being a split decision. Judging is subjective and even the most loyal Frampton fan can't say he showed his class in first 5 rounds, he got them by default because Quigg thought he was just in there to watch!

    Don't be silly beefy <laugh>

    I agree with that.

I don't think anyone has said that. Have they?
