That's the one ofh. Well done. Vaslav Nijinsky was the original choreographer of the first performances of Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring in 1913 at the Theatre des Champs-Elysee in Paris. The ballet is about a young girl who dances herself to death as a sacrificial victim to celebrate the coming of Spring. The premier was the occasion of the famous riot by the audience at the shocking content of the ballet (some say the riot was orchestrated by Diaghilev himself - the owner of the performing company, the Ballets Russes - for publicity). The horse Nijinsky, named after the dancer, was a great racing horse of the late 60s and early 70s and won the Epsom Derby in 1970. We, of course, will celebrate the coming of Spring on Mar 21 by beating Stoke City and thus assuring safety in the Premier League. No young girl need be sacrificed at the Pool in the Parade this time, unless she wants to be...... Over to you ofh!

Cheers Frenchie. OK. A historical one, during which King's reign did the display of pub signs outside drinking houses become compulsory ?
In 1393, King Richard II passed an Act making it compulsory for pubs and inns to have a sign (his own emblem the 'White Hart' in London) in order to identify them to the official Ale Taster.
Cheers Cologne. Identify the following personalities and what links them: actress in The Pallisers and Forsyth Saga; WWII flying hero; CND activist; star of Happy Valley; and singer/song writer who played Che in the original Evita?
Bloother, by original Evita, I presume that you mean the stage production. It was originally a concept album, where Colm Wilkinson played Che.
You've got the link Dave, but can you name all the 'counties'? And you're right, York isn't a county...think again. And yes, the stage production of Evita.
OK, which opera was originally intended by its composer to be performed with no musical accompaniment to the voices?
