Which double would you prefer to happen?

  • Pompey do the double over Saints, but go down.

  • Saints do the double over Pompey, but Pompey go up.

Here's the reverse side of a poll I've just posted on the Pompey board. I thought the comparison between the thoughts of the two sets of fans might be interesting.

In both these scenarios Saints finish mid table...

Choice 1. Pompey do the double over Saints, but get relegated.
Choice 2. Saints do the double over Pompey, but Pompey get promoted.
 
On the basis that Saints finish mid-table whatever, it has to be option 1. No contest.

The better side is determined by a whole season of results, not just two. And besides, beating Pompey twice would hardly make up for having to watch them return to the Premiership.
 
Not really worried about Pompey. So I guess the answer would be 2.
 
I just voted for the second option and it is completely split 9 each. That was before you mentioned that we would finish mid-table. I would still go for option 2 because it would be worth the laughs when the blue shi*e get relegated again.
