Firstly Medro. I do not believe the term hun is sectarian. It never has been and never will be. It is Rangers fans trying to find something to pretend to be offended about. It didnt bother them for decades but all of a sudden rangers fans appalling behaviour is in the spot light and now it does. Its just nonsense and I am not buying it.
Secondly I completely agree with you that dodgy Celtic singing should be highlighted but it really is rich for that highlighting to be done by a rangers fan. The media here do not tell you what actually goes on (for 2 reasons those being they are somewhat inclined to favour Rangers and they don't want to affect their circulation but you should see what they say about Rangers in the English papers, its not pretty!),and i suspect that many Rangers fans think that there is lots of offensive singing at Celtic park every other week. I have news for you, there is not. It has died a death and if you are lucky (or unlucky) you might get a feeble 7 second version of the soldiers song. Now compare that to Ibrox where tens of thousands spew their bigotted racist bile every other week not to mention the hooliganism and vile behaviour abroad.
The display of Rangers fans at the league cup final was the most shameful I have ever seen.Celtic fans, in the main, and in stark contrast, want to have fun. Even at the Scottish cup final replay confronted by racist and bigotted tirades lasting nearly 90 minutes the Celtic fans sang and had fun without rising to the bait.I know as I was there.
I agree that the Celtic away fans have issues to be addressed but the idea celtic fans are even in the same ball park as your lot is beyond ludicrous and i come for a proddy background! And you should not confuse politics, no matter how much you disagree with them, to singing about hating people because of their religion and race.
It will be interesting to see the arrest figures if a new law is passed on sectarianism in scotland. Iwould bet my house that the number of rangers fans arrested will be significantly higher than celtic fans arrested.
