OK, tin hat on and duck but I thought that was a very reasonable interview. Rational explanation for Charlie's departure, lots of honesty - wanted every manager for long haul and acknowledges we might be in the Championship for a while - and no rash promises.
New stadium still vaguely in the mix but clearly training ground more likely to happen 'soon'.

It seems fashionable on here at the moment to be all doom and gloom but I was encouraged after watching that.

Rapidly retreating into my Anderson shelter.

All he said about developing our own being more important than promotion next season did not ring true to me. If he really believes we can develop our own and at the same time may be around the play offs or promotion places sounds deluded if he really means it. Surely the team today needs strengthening with a few good quality experienced Championship players at least to be in any kind of promotion hunt next season, and that must be the priority really.

He comes across as a very reasonable man and is now being much more realistic. It's been a painful process and it's cost him and his partners a lot of money but they've learned lessons and are acting on them. I've always been grateful for his and their involvement: it means that my dreams have some foundation.

Foundations would look good under a new training ground.

I can't fault TF for his ambition, everything else just about the fella seems shallow and facile. Especially the application of his ambition.

Ok I can fault him for that too.

If we're relying on developing our own then we're gonna be a long time waiting...

I've often been encouraged by TF's statements & then frequently let down (not all TF's fault) so I now wait for results/improvements rather than hang on his every word.

    Uh Oh.....

So many people here not on message....

"I'm keen to create a good Academy, so that there's a constant supply of players. We're in a fantastic part of London and we should be bringing kids through......"

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/14566122

    That was five years ago.

    <laugh>

    "Stability = success",

    Yep.

So why not destabilise the entire club by undermining and sacking the guy that got us in the Prem in the first place?

After a bad run of 6 games?

    Why not?

What's the worst that could happen?

    He's a ****ing moron.

    Or maybe not,,,,

"There’s a reason for everything that we’re doing. But I feel football’s a fantastic branding platform for many of the things we are doing....."

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...QPR-owner-Tony-Fernandes-Im-a-sugar-baby.html

    We're a fantastic branding platform.

    Yay.

    In Tony we trust.

    Thumbs up from me.

Now let's press ahead with the training facility, stadium and EPL dominance! Onwards......

Exactly. Look it's Tony's money so not much we can do about it, be it if we are pro or anti Fernandes.
I'm guessing (?) most of us here were supporters back when we slipped into league 1 not so many moons ago, so just roll with it. Premier league, championship, league one, we are still QPR.
I for one love my team and will support the team through thick and thin whoever happens to "own" us on paper.

Totally this for me and many of us:emoticon-0148-yes:

Right from the off we were spoon fed all this so called vision/master plan about the futures bright, New stadium, training ground and establishment in the prem, blah blah blah.

Yes I can't denie it affected me, gave me hope. Most of what happened has been nothing short of a shower of sh!t.

You just can't blaim anyone for being fed up with it all right now tbh!

I don't know what goes on behind the sceans at QPR, also not saying I could do it any better.

I do know this however, Tony should and needs to manage what he says before letting us all know about it.

    Ummmmm....

    Dunno.....

Maybe express your dissatisfaction on a message board perhaps? Possibly.

Point out the utter drivel spouted by this cretin from the start and hope people start to listen?

New stadium, training ground, exciting youth policy this way. Just open the door and step right in....
