The worse thing Pullis has ever seen ? He should have looked out of the window towards the car park after a game when he was at Stoke.
FFS talk about the string em high brigade.
No footballer has never lost an eye. It was a coin, not a hand grenade.
Not condoning it. I would sooner keep the coin in my pocket then throw it at a millionaire.
I still say if WBA had of won 3-1 Brunt would have been grinning like a Chesire Cat at the end milking the praise.
FFS you lot better not visit the KC when FC are playing if this upsets you so much because throwing bottles on the pitch during play is almost compulsory.
To finish. You could all throw coins at me all day long if I were on £30k a week with a 2/3 year maybe longer cast iron contract.
I've been going to football matches for a very long time and I can assure you that I've had plenty of coins and whole lot more besides thrown at me.
Perhaps I should sit in the posh seats ( or at home) like you lot ?
You're making yourself look really stupid here. i'd leave it.
What next lets starting singing zigger zigger zigger.....
It dont matter like does it they're on 30 grand a week. Call me what ya like for 30 grand a week

Jesus christ you're special.

A bottle was thrown once at the rugby and as a result alcohol was banned in the stands for two years, but don't let facts get in the way of rant.

Also comparing throwing a plastic bottle onto the pitch to throwing a coin an inch from a players eye is quite ridiculous even for you.

I got hit by sharpened penny at city v leicester city once on bunkers in the 70s

Kenny O stood next to me got one on his nose . it bled like mad...mind his nose was a huge target

Both sets of fans seperated by a thin blue line.

Hopefully i got the twat back who threw it.

Do keep up old bean, my season ticket is now in the North Stand.

I may have actually thrown the odd coin at you myself, do you still sit near the cash machines in Whitefriargate, hows your dog?

Literally an eye for an eye, eh? Ah, the good old days...

Blimey, the Pitchfork Posse out in force on this thread

May I recommend the 'R.I.P February list' thread for those who enjoy selective indignant outrage?

.

Look vicar, no-one is condoning coin throwing. How do you know it was a plastic bottle anyhow ? Did you throw it ?
There were bottles thrown at FC first home game this season v Salford according to the HDM.

Look vicar, if you really are a RL fan don't try and tell me you are shocked be someone throwing a coin.
FFS get over it.
No-one's condoning coin throwing.
Drag the lad outside and shoot him. That'll teach him.

I'm not shocked at all, I actually think the whole thing has been blown well out proportion.

An idiot did a stupid thing and will get banned, end of story really.

If you stood on the South Stand in the early 70's Filey the chances were you would be hit by something sooner or later. I was always on the look out on the terraces for those 50p pieces been thrown. Half bricks a few times, a direct hit from a bottle at Bolton, a pool ball at Blackburn and again at home v Sunderland and I remember a wooden chair leg heading my way v Sheffield United. At Ayresome Park those of us brave enough to go had the contents of a builders skip thrown at us. Never did find a 50p piece though. Once picked up a couple of quid in loose change in the Kempton after a game.

Agreed.
No one likes the preachy stuff from Lineker and co though.
Many footballers are a very motley crew who cheat, lie, deceive and con on a weekly basis.
The pundits turn a blind eye most of the time because it's their old club or their mate is the manager.....but when it comes to some 17 year old scrote fan who steps out line, the outrage is immense. You won't hear Adam Johnson being condemned though even when he's found guilty.
(Does Lineker still have that chauffeur driven car from his Surrey home to BBC Salford studios every week?)

You hero, I'm guessing a call from Pride of Britain is just around the corner.

That'll be the coins...
