I once had a work permit for a Scottish person knocked back on the Isle of Man - because the Manx system said you had to try to get the skills locally before going off-island. If we didn't win our appeal (which we did) I swore we were opening a UK office and placing the staff there instead. I mean, how dare a Government try to tell me who was the best person for a private job, don't they know there are a million other places to take your business? <whistle>

The world is a different place to 40 years ago - people and businesses are mobile, we can work from anywhere - if you try chase some border closing dream then businesses will take the path of less resistance elsewhere. If you don't want them to take the path of least resistance, then you'll need to give them a good reason to stay, such as lower taxes - or more likely a continuation of open borders and full compliance with EU laws (so as not to up compliance costs). Which means it's likely nothing much will change as the market will force Britain to behave like it's an EU member anyway - only it will no longer have a say on EU law.
Bloody hell! Someone has made a valid point. Full of ifs and buts but valid nonetheless.

Imagine the Brits having to crawl back to Europe in the future.

Would be beeltastic.

Britain out of Europe now.

If Cammy is supporting being in that's enough for me.

Same with Sturgeon and Fatty Arbuckle Salmond.

You sure about that? If we leave there'll be a big hole in the finances and Europe is getting more right wing by the day.
I would be absolutely positive about that.

The EU will fall apart because the Anglos are pulling out

The delusion.

I will be voting Out, the yes vote and Cameron can scaremonger as much has it likes, I have never agreed with a one state union. When the 23rd June comes the yes vote will just sit on it's lazy arrogant backside in Britain, while the more passionate no vote, will cast it's say, to which then I will expect the pro EU British Premier to resign.

If the rest of the EU does not want to do business with 60 million people when we keep hold of our £15 billion as what I believe is it the the fifth largest economy then good riddance to them and close the tunnel on the way out :)
