... always wondered who on earth would buy those things until Sunday ... arrived earlier that I'd originally planned at Arsenal tube station to meet the guy who had the tickets ... there were considerable numbers of far eastern tourists who were lapping them up ... these were also the main customers for the touts who were quoting £300 a ticket ... so I'm guessing the scarvs were more of a momento of a trip to Lunnon rather than any particulat team allegiance .... alternatively they might, of course, have been part of the growing Leicester City 'Thai army' given no alternative as there didn't appear to be any exclusively Leicester merchandise <laugh> ...

It's desperate eh? There's been a lot of tourists at the vic this year - and White hart lane was unbelievable last week. Don't get me wrong, there's no reason why Japanese people shouldn't go to games but the volumes surprised me - especially as they're only getting their hands on them through touts which really should not be allowed to happen.

PL form of being unbeaten away in 12 games, and best form in last 5/10 games
(W/D/L = 5/0/0 and 8/1/1 respectively) is quite 'juggernaulty' to me as the final
third of the PL season has arrived.

I suspect the increasing ranks of orientals in the WHL west stand are Korean, and are there because Son is a
Spurs player + their fanatical transitive alliegiance to the club who currently employs such players.

Leicester and Spurs seem to have done very well in this campaign on that front, too.
Son and Okazaki have both done pretty well, had moments of real impact and seem pretty likable, too.
The Thai connection seems to have had an influence at the KP Krisp stadium, as well.
Any decent Thai players out there?

Tottenham are competing with West Ham to sign Marseille's £25m-rated Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi, 22. (Daily Mirror)

We're not really "competing," though, are we!

Fortunately for you, Fossil, I am not able to access my "Cosby shaking his head in embarrassment" gif, or I would have used it.

Count yourself very lucky, young man!

The new season is fast approaching! Soon, fans of all colours and creeds will hear the sound of this fearful beast...

You can use this thread to keep tabs on how hard Poch is able to push that awesome engine, as he puts the pedal to the metal and sends the juggernaut on its thunderous journey!

bump

I thought it well worth while my re-posting the email that kicked off this thread.

I doubt few of you will argue that I called this one absolutely straight down the line.

I'm not one to scoff, as most of your will know, so I will just leave it there.

....although if any of you do want to congratulate me for so magnificently calling this one exactly how it is, I will be magnanimous enough to accept your praise with relish. Cheers, lads.

The Scousers are already planning their "The Mighty Jurgennought Thread" for Next Year ... the nought likely to be symbolic on the trophy front ...:emoticon-0136-giggl

<laugh>
"The Mighty Jurgennought" thread would be a wum-counterpart to my "Mouser Watch" thread (it being universally accepted, even among Mousers, that my thread is not a wum-thread).

Soon to become the ****ey Jurgen Out Thread, if Brendan's fall from grace is anything to go by.

Former Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor, 31, has vowed to celebrate if he scores for Crystal Palace against his former club in Sunday's FA Cup tie. (Times)

<doh>
He's got to get the ball, first!

... and in one fell swoop HIAG invokes the god Sod and his law <laugh> it has just become inevitable (if it was ever in doubt) that adebayor will score and possibly the winner ... Rupert better take a big box of tissues with him if he's visiting on Sunday ... and not for the normal purpose <wah> :emoticon-0127-lipss
