Off Topic Mafia game: The island

To be fair to Biscan, I have given reasons why I think upstairs is the right choice too. That might put me in the firing line, but I still think it makes sense to investigate upstairs as we know that is where something happened. However, to counter that, we may find out completely new information going elsewhere which will tell us more about the overall game.

 

Upstairs votes and reasoning:

For me the strongest clue so far is the smell. The smell leads to the gardens.

Tennisball was the first to say upstairs, but with #legit reasoning. I vote for BobbyD as the next person to vote for it and a possible bandwagon jumper who hasn't been involved in any further discussion since this post.

 

Is it not suspicious though that we have three options and after a handful of people suggest one option early on, it now seems the only option we are considering? Everyone is saying it doesn't matter where we go....just as long as we go upstairs... Lol

Like dumb policeman youre assuming the biggest clue is the crime scene, however its the evidence leading to the crime that concluded it.

Because it's the only clue I have to work with, and the only decision I have to make aside from lynching which doesn't have clues yet. Do you have something else to go on? Those famous "reads" that always work so much better than logic?

Something happened upstairs earlier in the day and the scene was checked out already. Even if something turns up there, who's to say the bad guys don't have the option to place false evidence at scenes? The garden link comes from MITO's own clue.

 

Wtf lol why am I the serial killer? If anything we know I was the one who saw 23 fall from the balcony and so know I wasn't involved! (Not to mention we are pretty much decided 23 died due to trying to escape!) unless I've missed some other highly intelligent bit of info you've given us that suggests I'm a SK? Lol

 

Genuine question: Why does the smell lead to the gardens? I know we smelled it there, but if we think 23 was poisoned then wouldn't he poisoning have taken place upstairs? If the poison emanated from the garden I think we would have been exposed to it too.

Do a thread search for my posts, I give all the evidence. Basically the smell means it's either ETO or HCN poison. Both of these are used as pesticides so if we explore the gardens and find pesticides then that means we are correct and might get some reward from MITO (why would he reward stupidly going upstairs again?). ETO is also used to make tobacco plants grow, so finding tobacco plants in the garden also confirms the theory.

I suspect that MITO wouldn't have given away anybody's role in the opening post. The choice of player who spoke or witnessed things was either done at random or for comedic effect.
