...and yet this goes unmentioned? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...al-injuries-days-arranged-marriage-Yemen.html Everyone getting their moral high-horses on stand-by about Adam Johnson, yet girls as young as 8 years old are being married, forced to have sex with adult men and then die of their injuries. I don't for one second condone the actions of Johnson, but some perspective is required. Of course, none of these girls (or their attackers) are famous footballers, so who gives a shiite? Right?
I don't think this is something the UK legal system can do anything about being in Yemen . There was an earthquake in Taiwan why should we care if Bowie dies ?.
Obviously not, and I never suggested it could. It just makes me sick how people are so outraged by the actions of a footballer and yet absolute horrors occur EVERY DAY around the world and nobody cares because it doesn't happen in their country.
I don't think many people think the A J case is that bad in the great scale of things but If you are on a football forum especially designed for Newcastle or Sunderland this story will be topical. They have a comments section om the Mail site and you can engage on the migrant rapists or Yemeni marriages there. I read a story about a bloke who is taking Aldi to court for opening at 11am on Sunday instead of 10 forcing him to wait outside in the sun causing his minced beef to spoil . This is less serious than under age sex .
Oh, so because this is a football site, I can only mention things with a football connotation? Quite right, I mustn't bring any perspective to anyone. Forgive me
