Not sure if we have one of these but with 30+= players out loan it'd be good to share some thoughts on some of them. Some updates so far this season.

    Hits

Andreas Christensen - Playing the full seasson in the Bundesliga at Monchengladbach who are currently going quite well in 6th. He's played in the group stages of the Champions league too. I see absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be in our first team squad last season. Plays CB or RB and has already had a bit of first team experience under Jose of all people.

Mario Pasalic - Playing at Monaco and has been getting regular game time. Don't know an awful lot about him to be fair but he's a central midfielder who's a bit more box to box than No.10. Played at Eibar last season in La Liga so has got some decent experience now.

Victor Moses - Was going really well at West Ham until he got injured. I think he might get an opportunity next season providing he finishes the season well.

Charly Musonda - This is purely based on one game but this guy has got some unbelievable talent. He made his debut for Betis in the 1-0 win over Valencia at the weekend and he was outstanding. He's one of the best young players i've seen and he's versatile too. Hopefully his debut was the start of things to come!

Juan Cuadrado - Probably the flop of last season but he's done pretty well at Juve. Been a first team fixture although hasn't contributed many goals or assists. You have to be playing well to stay in that team though.

    Misses

Patrick Bamford - Hopefully he'll get some games at Norwich after the Crystal Palace disaster. He's 22 now so time is probably running out for him to establish himself here.

Lucas Piazon - Not done as well as i expected at Reading. Scored a few but been in and out of the team and not really progressed how we'd hoped.

Izzy Brown - Struggled at Vitesse although he was out injured towards the beginning of the season. He's got back in the side now and by the sound of things his form has improved.

Christian Atsu - I expected him to do really well at Bournemouth but it seems his issue is he can't get fit. International level he's really good but can't do it at club level as he's had so many injuries. He's at Malaga now so hopefully he'll do well and get some games.

A few other mentions. Lewis Baker has done alright at Vitesse but his form has dropped and he's on the bench now. Van Ginkel has swapped Stoke for PSV and he scored on his debut. Boga, another massively talented player, is getting better and better at Rennes after a slow start.

There are many that i've missed including Solanke but i'd spend my lifetime writing about them all!

So who are we most excited about? Will any of them get an opportunity next season? If so, who should?

I really rate Andreas Christensen and Charley Musonda. Watched a lot of them both playing for the youth teams, and I think they're both worth a punt. Could save us millions in the transfer market.

I would be the first to cheer if any of these players came back to SB and ended up decent.
I am just so cynical about our youth team and loanees that i cannot bring myself to get excited by it.
I fully expect none of these players to feature next season and the majority of them to be sold, and end up excellent players elsewhere ala De Bruyne and Lukaku.

I dont even consider them when thinking about next seasons squad, which is sad, but history tells us I will be right.
More likely we will spend £100m on a bunch of players and use the sale of these kids to finance it.

Spurs have shown that you can compete at the top end of the table by given kids a chance. We have plenty of great youth prospects and 2-3 need to be given a real chance next year IMO. They probably won't though!

You're preaching to the converted mate.
I agree completely, unfortunately, Chelsea Football Club doesn't.

All these players that are world class, Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, they all started in a youth team, they weren't genetically modified in a lab to be Super footballers.
We have seen with Lukaku and De Bruyne that some of the players can and will be very good, if they are given a chance, we just don't do that :(

    And it's sad

    They're too scared to.
They know that if they don't win at least one trophy and get top 4 every season they will be **** canned. So they aren't prepared to take the risk on youngsters!
Can't blame the managers. Its Roman! He has made the managers role at CFC a poisoned chalice.

**** it, no, the manager MUST win the league or Roman sacks em. Not even top 4 is good enough.

When was the last time a Full time Chelsea manager (ie not Caretaker or Interim) DIDN'T win the league and kept his job?
Ranieiri in 2004 got sacked (2nd)
Mourinho in 2007 got sacked (2nd) (though he at least got to start the 07/08 season)
Grant in 2008 (2nd) got sacked
Ancelotti in 2011 got sacked (2nd)
Scolari and AVB were pants granted and didnt even get a whole season and were sacked.

The last time a Chelsea manager failed to win the league and kept his job for the entirety of the following season was Ranieiri in 2003.

13 years! Basically if you don't win the league EVERY year, you are sacked.
What kind of bullshit is that?

Yep, agree with all this. It is impossible to win the league every year. Never been done by anyone, ever. About time Roman woke up to this fact and came back to planet Earth.

    Yup.
Sacking Mourinho the first time around was a mistake (back to back titles)
Sacking Ancelotti was a HUUUUUGE mistake (our first double and record goals scored)
Sacking Grant was a mistake (2nd to probably the best United team during the Fergie years, and a CL final)
The only ones I agreed with were AVB and Scolari, because they were clueless.

Yeah City seem just as bad to be honest.
Mancini finished 2nd and was **** canned.
Pellegrini may even win the league or even the quadruple (unlikely I know) and still get **** canned.

I'm biased but think you've missed out one of your big loan successes of the season. If we could get Nathan Ake off you lot permanently I'd take him like a shot. Played really, really well for Watford this season.
