Because we were marooned in 13th, and going nowhere. Strange how things can change in a month....

Google translate says:

"Because I'm an impatient bugger who wants success now not tomorrow and I'm not prepared to take even a medium term view. Odd how things can come to those who wait..."

OMG. Just sneaking home from the pub which was fast becoming like a morgue. Bloody great!

And what gets me is that 6th beat 9th and it's a shock. Liverpool's inflated self-opinion knows no bounds

For now, the best outcome is Man City beats them and Liverpool stinks in PL and everywhere thereby removing them from consideration as a competitor. Plus it is more fun when they are humiliated.

But yeah, if they win a cup, we may find ourselves in the unfortunate position of rooting for them to finish top 4.

Mate, when they played Pompey in the 92 Cup semi-final I wanted Pompey to win. My loathing for them knows no depths!

Don't laugh too soon at Liverpool's demise tonight!! There's the League Cup Final and who knows they might sneak into the EL final,so best not wish them ill because they win things even in a poor season.

I'm prepared to take the long view and their gradual slide down the league. Time was when Liverpool were dissatisfied if they weren't champions. Then top 2/3/4, then top 6. Gradually, with every passing season, they are getting used to being less. At the moment they're a great cup team, and they'll just gone out of one cup competition, as they get used to being a secure mid-table side. Give them a decade or so and they might be back to where they were pre-Shankly. Anything is possible, up or down.

At the moment there are parallels with Liverpool and AC Milan. Multiple Champions of Europe that have in the past decade slipped down their respective tables.

Can we wish that on Manchester United and Chelsea as well? Even better if both those clubs imploded!!!!

Reading comments here there are 4 clubs most of us loathe in the PL ......Chelsea, Manchester, Liverpool and Tottenham. What is the connection between them all? As you know, I don't mind Liverpool and I like the North London team. No accounting for taste as some would say!!

Why? It's not because of his refusal to wear a poppy is it?
Partly, because it`s disrespectful to many who died fighting tyranny - including a lot of his own countrymen. But mostly because of his hypocrisy - he`s anti-British, yet doesn`t mind earning a fortune playing in the English league.

The second reason is fair enough, but he does have a reason for not wearing a poppy - something to do with Bloody Sunday I think.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions including him, it is a bit like the bullying to make everyone make poppies for Remembrance day. However, the malice he puts in some of his fouls is something to dislike.
