I notice that nobody on here is disputing what Enrique said, including our friends from [email protected], only annoyance at the fact that a Sunderland fan posted it on here.

So do we all accept the quotes as Cest stated them? If so I would be worried if it was some player from our club.

I do believe that NUFC have already commented that Enrique will be dealt with internally, which means that they acknowledge the quotes as truth. Plus, I've seen the original tweets in Spanish and they pretty much translate as mentioned.

So he wants to be away because the club are showing no ambition in the signings they have made. Is that the jist of it?

Aye, I don't think this Enrique has said nothing that hasn't been said many times by fans on the mag board. I don't see what the problem is, maybe it's cos Cest posted it, and the mags don't like to be reminded that we're having a laugh at their expense.

I mean there's a thread on their board, about boycotts and some mag sign coming down and they're going apeshit over it. Does that mean we shouldn't comment on it on here in case an uptight mag reads it and gets pissed off with it. No of course not, it means that some mags shouldn't read things here when he's hormonal and on his period, cos of course we're going to rip the piss out of their circumstances.

If they don't like it, **** them, they should stay on their own board.

Sums it up nicely SAFCOL but in doing do, it kind of pisses on the theory spouted buy our NE1 brethren about the 'quality' signings they all think have been made, which, was the thrust of my original post. After weeks of ****e about none of our signings good enough to fill their team, we now know from the horses mouth over at Sid James, just what Enrique thinks of the new players. ****e.

They may not like to hear it from us but this time, its from within their club and from one of their own. Thats got to sting a bit hasn't it?

See I'm confussed because the mags have been saying that their signings are amazing. I can only imagine that the professional international footballer, who has devoted his life to the game, just doesn't know as much as a load of fat blokes in tracksuits and 12yr olds whose only experience of a football is when the PE teacher belts in off the back of their fat heads.
Strange, you'd think it would be the other way round.

He seems to have more of an issue with the players sold (Nolan, Carroll etc) as opposed to players being bought (although I doubt he'd comment on that anyway as it would be very offensive to his new team-mates). He also thinks that the owners lie all the time, and even said that this so-called 'amazing contract offer' is actually exactly the same wages as he had before. All in all, as you've seen, he doesn't think we'll get anywhere with the way things currently are.

He makes some good points, but being a player doesn't necessarily make him anymore knowledgeable than us when it comes to running a club. Suggesting we're doomed to failure under the current policy is entirely his opinion, even though there's a possibility that he may be correct.
