Dont think I know this film. Probably do but there are so many films beginning American .............. that I'm lost.
It came out recently I think? It's about some dude that spends his time getting smashed but it turns out he has the power of telekinesis.
I like the fact that the whole film wasn't based on that, was more sort of following him around doing his day-to-day stuff. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, it entertained me though.
Tbf that sounds like the kind of film I might watch if I was stoned, just to go with the flow. That or Naked Gun

Snowpiercer was the most entertaining film I've watched in the last year

I took a while explaining it to the mem sahib.
I never cared for Heinlein much, I'm more of a Dick man (Philip K).
I like them both, have you ever read The Forever War by Joe Haldeman?
If not, you should, before they make the movie and spoil it slightly.
How would they handle the subject matter? I read it a few years ago along with the Accidental time machine.
I used to read SF till it was coming out of my ears as a youth and still for me no-one can touch PKD for ideas. It makes me laugh when they talk about Ridley Scott's Blade runner as though he'd actually written it.
