"Generally restricted by FFP..." It would be nice to know where the club stands re the arbitration. Why is it taking so long? Dead silence from club and FL

Absolutely, and yes finally operating within our means (just a few years too late).

Seems fair enough - they tried to get the players they wanted in and shot of the ones who are a financial burden. Moderate success on both sides but there's little point panic buying when we'll have the Summer to carry on building.

No fanfare and no big risks - now that's a refreshing change.

I'm happy to hear we're not subsidising the wages of our players out on loan.

All sounds very sensible. But I hope we aren't hearing about FFP from the Club or League because we are fighting a legal process that will blow the FL's special FFP rules out of existence. They seem only to serve the rich clique of established PL Clubs and make it far more difficult for the smaller Clubs to get there and stay.

I don't really understand this Oslo. What have the FLs FFP rules got to do with the PL, where there are no FFP rules? The FL rules are meant to discourage clubs from spending wildly and going out of business as a result. As we would have had not our owners taken the hit personally. In the PL there are signs that a little levelling is taking place. Utd (merchandising) and Arsenal (gate receipts) will always have an advantage through size, but I can't blame them for that. Only City and Chelsea seem to rely exclusively on owner generosity, like we do.

The FL rules are limiting ambitous Championship Clubs ability to build teams to challenge for promotion, and then sustainability in the PL if they get promoted. Some already have transfer embargoes placed on them, others like Bournemouth I understand already risk penalties if they get relegated again. We are already in that situation - just not clear to me anyway whether our Owners clearance of most of the accounting loss liable to penalty from our last season in the Championship have saved us from penalty, or whether increasngly more likely with the silence on the issue, the subject is undergoing legal arbitration.

I think many PL Clubs are heavily reliant on owner generosity. Newcastle, Sunderland, Palace, Leicester, Liverpool, Southampton, Stoke all seem to be - harder really to think of any who aren't, Arsenal maybe.

Oops, turns out I was totally wrong. There's a turn up.

Still think the FLs rules are based on sound finances, even if they are stupidly implemented.
