thankfully we have , and that team has a winning mentality now ,
that relegation season was weird , i know i will sound like a hard done by ostrich however ,
We really did give away 20 plus points last season with what were literally single moments of madness on our part or brilliance of the opposition :D
I lost track in the spring how many point we lost in the final 10 :)

Got rid of the mercenaries and in keeping the majority of squad together have done well. Credit to Brucey primarily for that! Three big differences this season, Abel playing as he is, Snodders being back and looking better with every game, confidence flowing after positive results

Spot on WS. We lost half that team to a plague of injuries at some point last season, including no fit strikers, gave away at least 15 points through late game tactical errors by you know who, and literally threw away a comfortable mid-table finish by daft mistakes. There is no way we should have been relegated but Murphys Law dragged us down. This season we have a fit in depth cohesive squad and Bruce hopefully has learned his lesson. Totally different from a year ago.

Unlike when we were promoted to the Prem last time around, IF we do it again this season then don't believe that wholesale changes are needed

I think we would need to strengthen our midfield and maybe add another full back or two, and a second striker.

Everything else would be ok. Another keeper maybe if Jakupovic leaves.

I think the gulf between the Premier League is bigger than ever, with the exception of Villa, even the teams at the bottom of the Premier League are still playing far better football than those of us at the top of the Championship, we'd need very significant improvements to compete.

I believe that should we get promoted, then 4-5 players could help us achieve that whilst keeping the squad unity and spirit intact. I'd rather have top end quality with 4-5 additions rather than wholesale change

Given how few players we lost, I don't really think we're that much worse than sides like Swansea, Sunderland, West Brom, Chelsea, or Newcastle.

Leciester's starting XI is still largely the one that got them promoted.

Vardy and Mahrez, and to some extent Kante may be getting the headlines, but players like Huth and Fuchs have made great contributions and are the unsung heros. Also seems Drinkwater has stepped up his game this season. You can find examples of any team to suit your point of view. Leicester bought a handful though have bought more since, Watford, Norwich and Bournemouth seem to have undergone significant change with only Watford being in relative mid table safety

Agree, but surely that down to bad investment in the money they receive through promotion

I'm utterly convinced that developing the right tactics/system for the personnel you have is almost if not more important than big money signings in terms of staying in the league.

I referred to your post, I wasn't responding to it! However as you've asked I would say roughly half of Leicesters team today represents the team that got them promoted. Signings in the window just closed will no doubt further dilute that over time as the new players are introduced

Summer transfer rumours have started already...

    Tigers plot Keane swoop

please log in to view this image

Championship leaders Hull City are keeping close tabs on Man Utd's young fringe striker Will Keane, sources for SiaS have learned.

The Tigers are already on the lookout for fresh faces and a possible return to the Premier League next season has put Keane in their sights.
It's understood boss Steve Bruce is an admirer of the 23-year-old, who was recently recalled to Old Trafford from a loan spell at Preston North End.
Hull scouts were on hand to see Keane score an impressive hat-trick for United's Under-21 side in a 3-1 victory over Reading last month.
Keane has been at United since he was a schoolboy and there is a feeling he could be allowed to leave in the summer, and Hull believe the prospect of regular top-flight football could be a big carrot.
