Is it a box you buy??
Kodi is actually what used to be called XBMC and was initially designed to be the media centre for the Xbox.

You can either download it onto a PC/Laptop or to a jailbroken ipad, or you can buy an android tv box online which comes pre loaded (although I've deleted the pre-installed build from all my boxes and built my own set up on them).

If you get one you can find instructions on how to load new add ons using Michael Seo website online.

Boxes are around £30 - £40 for a decent one and you can access any film, tv show, footy match etc

That "study" will probably be "true" to put people off using streams. Nothing else.

I had one as a Christmas present and although it took a few attempts to get it sorted, it works fine. I asked for a quad and my missus got me dual core, its fine, for now. I will probably upgrade to a faster processor and increase the ram soon. I run "The Beast" and UKTV without any problems. Although I did think that Virgin broadband would make life difficult, that was not the case.

I also use a median tablet for uktv as well, again no problems and good quality. Basically, you are cheating the system. I do not have any problem with streaming live football. If we are playing on Sky, I can always buy a one day NowTv package and watch it in high quality, but if our game is not being shown live in the uk, I see nothing wrong in watching streamed content from abroad.

I do think clubs should be able to show their own games, if they are not being shown on Sky or BT. There is nothing to lose, I would pay £10 per match. I am not sure how the bookie channels work, do they show all live games?

I tried the beast build initially but found it far too bulky and reliant on Genisis so I deleted it and created my own build using around 8 add ons max.

Instead of relying on free streams or one day passes from now tv etc for the football, you can download Sportsmania add on, pay £26 for 6 months membership, and get crystal clear HD links for the games and they use much more stable servers.

£40? Blimey! I pay SKY £10 a month for a fibre connection with unlimited downloads. Get speeds of 25-35 Mb/s which is fast enough for me.

The electronic space in Aus is pretty expensive compared with the UK. We also pay 45 quid/month for access to Pay TV which gives total Premier League coverage but Championship and Champions League need extra payments which I refuse to pay. Line rental for our phone is 20 quid/month. Also in Aus. there is no TV licence fee.

Will have to reconsider this next year as Premier League may also require extra!

Line rental alone is more than that. They all like to sell it as 'broadband for a tenner' or whatever but as you have to pay the line rental it's nowhere near that cheap.

If you read Blue Mountain Bear's post he also pays £20 line rental. So my broadband cost Iis £30 less than his and line rental is less as well.

Poor tonight

I was only really interested in pointing out that the deals ISPs promote as being cheap really aren't.

I currently average about 140mbs down with pings of 1 or 2ms.

KC Lightstream. It's expensive but bloody fast. Seeing **** download at 10mb/s still makes me piss my pants months later.

That is bloody quick, my Virgin d'load tonight is 55.15mbs, pinging @ 9ms ......... it's nowhere near yours.

It is cheap as I would still be paying line rental to someone without broadband. And it is dirt cheap compared to what our friend in Australia is paying.
To put it in context, my first connection in 2000 gave me 56kb/s download speeds with a 20gig cap for £24per month on top of line rental compared to £10 now for 25-35mb/s with no limits. If only other things had improved so much and come down as much in the last 16 years.

Don't forget The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, on the trail of the lonesome pine. A really spectacular drive!

My wife has several relations in the US and they all recommend this drive. We have never got there. The nearest I got to the Blue Ridge M.was on a business trip when I flew from New Orleans to Baltimore.

Regarding pine trees, in 1994 the Wollemi pine was discovered in the Aus. Blue Mountains. Also called the "Dinosaur"tree it is an ancient species and has only been found here.

It's location is still secret.

An acquaintance who lived in Australia for a few years always said the Blue Mountains area was his favourite place to spend time.
